Heh, "fences are our friends" It's a four foot high cedar board fence with two feet of lattice on top. The board part has boards on both sides of the stringers.
The idiot used to have a pit bull and I figured by the time 'Jaws' chewed his way through the second board, I would have had time to fetch the shotgun. Turns out 'Jaws' preferred to knaw on the chain link portion.
Did we say we're glad they are both gone?
Man: Flesh-eating aliens were chasing me when I caused fatal car crash
Wow... Now that's a story!
All that water would frizz her hair.
I reckon I don't have it so bad then. I just have to put up with conversation. Which I don't mind sometimes. But I can't walk out in the back yard without either the nayber lady yelling "Hi Corin" (no matter how many times per day, and sometimes out her kitchen window) or the other nayber's dogs yappin' at me (and they're 100 yds away thru the trees).
Yes, very easy.
Open up Spybot and go to the Immunize page (there's an icon on the left). It'll probably give you a message about "X bad products blocked, Y protections available". There's a big green Immunize button near the top of the page; hit that.
Scroll down and make sure the "Enable permanent blocking of bad addresses" box is checked. In the dropdown box, select "Block all bad pages silently" (otherwise it'll tell you every time it blocks a baddie.
That's it!
You live next door to Hyacinth?
Got it. Thanks.
It's not.... next week the other Windows guy and I get to redo the installation on every computer in the main lab because they're so infested with scumware. I wish it were a hallucination. You probably laugh at the lengths I go to to keep myself safe, but I do think it's necessary. Even if I only find a couple cookies and maybe one baddie a month, it's worthwhile.
No problem. Was it already configured? Every time you run Spybot, check for new downloads first, and make sure you download anything called "immunization database". Then go back to that page and re-immunize.
I'll bet it helps.
Actually, that's what we used to call the nayber lady that lived there before, cause she was doing all things nice an proper like. At her daughter's wedding wife and I had the task of keeping everyone off the buffet until the bridal party got there (almost an hour and a half). We were not popular, so we just told 'em "Hyacinth said so."
They all understood.
The current nayber lady is a little more annoying.
Afternoon Hair - well, it's still technically morning where you are. Trailing Riding later on? More Adventures?
No it wasn't configured for the automatic check.
She doesn't sing at you, does she?
Close.
*Groan*
Hmmm. really? LSA has found Hen House to be a bit pricy.
Heh...that's what I thought. The one on 135th Street was pretty pricey but the one I went to today on 83rd was cheaper. 'Course it was an older store and it wasn't as fancy, but it's good enough.
But I've scanned with that stuff and I've never gotten anything. Many many moons ago I had Gator.... but I'm the idiot who installed it.
I've got a firewall and commercial virus scanner, I've got MS AS mostly out of curiosity, but it's never found anything, I leave it on because it's low maintenance and it doesn't bother me.
Granted, I am pretty limited in the kind of sites I go to, but ecurbh isn't. He surfs all kinds of murky places, and he stays clean too. I am very suspect that the freeware adware and spyware cleaners are some kind of self-fulfilling prophecy. How's that for a conspiracy theory? ;~D
So you say they came down, picked you up and took you in the spaceship? ;~D
