The Hobbit Hole XXII - ...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

But what I really want is a button for "make this users' existence a living hell". Got that?Kind of a "Corin-ize User Life" button?

I think one day I'm going to have to write a story with a butler named Mr. Enchfray.
Good night...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Did he kill somebody? The butler's always Done It.

Sauron's Angels?I just had a vision of a guy on a Harley with a helmet made to look Gondorian, a leather jacket with "Sauron's Maiar" on the back, and tats in Elvish syaing things like "Morgoth Rules" and "Wyld Uruk-Hai", etc. Painted on the gas tank: "Fell Beast".
Good morning everyone...there;s rabbit nosing about the bushes that separate the apts. from the golf course.

Do you know, 25% of the words in your post weren't real words at all?And yet the meaning was perfectly clear...

Morning - a number of threads ago, someone posted a picture of a custom motorcycle. The scene painted on the the gas tank was The Nine crossing the River. Very well done.

Kind of a "Corin-ize User Life" button? I heard that.
Didn't mean to leave so abruptly last night. Wife was still having issues with thelaptop, so I went to check it out. She could get to Comcast, but not to her mail before it would kick her out. To make a long story short...I JUST finished clearing out AdAware. It hadn't finished after two hours last night.
Then again, I'm sure the vodka-tonics problably didn't help (fer me, not thelaptop). I stopped counting after four...
Gonna do yard work today. Meant to get up early to start. Still runnin' regular utilities on thelaptop.

Morning! [sip]
Did some watering this morning (although there's still some varmint digging things up in the front planter boxes.) Think I need to give Miss Cat a thourough grooming so I'll have enough fur to cover it all.
Operation Flylady is the order of the day. *Sigh*

Good morning!
Up, getting ready to make breakfast (and coffee, but that goes without saying), and then...? Not sure what we're doing today. I like days like that.

Breakfast, yeah. Guess I should get breakfast before grocery shopping.

Morning.... where does she get all the adware? I've never had trouble with it. Never gotten any. I don't browse the wide web to a lot of places regularly, but I'm out there...
To: HairOfTheDog; RosieCotton; JenB; Ramius; ecurbh; Bear_in_RoseBear
I'm not sure where it all comes from. But thelaptop has been out of my sights for a while, so it builds up. I run Adaware every other day or so. Always pick up about 20-30. It's probably because I'm on sites like Tripod/Lycos.
And Luke and Jr. are on all sorts of kid/game sites. I think I need better security.
Other question: Flash drive. What to buy?
That seems as if it's going to be the easiest solution to Mrs. using thelaptop.
