The Hobbit Hole XXII - ...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Been coming on for a couple of days...I'm thinking it's allergies, not sure. (It did start before the kefir!)
I took two benadryls last night and slept like the dead. Snored so loud i woke myself up right as I was going to sleep. Just in time to see Steve leaving. He hit the couch. I don't blame him, he's gotta go to work...needs his sleep.

Well, the sausage patties on the GF grill did well for Steve. I asked him how they did and this is what he said. High praise coming from Steve!
great, grab from freezer, throw on grill, plug grill in, cook 'till
sizzle quiets, unplug to keep warm.
good stuff.

Yes we did. Think we'll have to start earlier for ROTK. Tired hobbits were dropping out like.....tired hobbits last week.
To: Overtaxed
Yeah....I'm thinking maybe seven eastern time would be good. That'd at least mean most would be able to stay up through the whole movie.

7 is too early for me. But I'll jump in when I can.

ROTK this Saturday night. :-D
Earlier would be better because by 11pm, I'm yawning and fighting to stay awake.

Especially since ROTK is quite a bit longer than the other two movies. Unless people want to split the disks up between Saturday and Sunday nights.
To: Corin Stormhands
It hasn't yet been put to a vote...I'm just pulling a number outta the air.
Anyone else have preferences?

I'd be OK with that...dunno if others have a lot of weekend plans. Otherwise, that's probably our best bet.

So glad you had a great evening with your DadMe too! I miss everybody, of course, but Dad understands me more than Mom does, because we're so alike. And there are conversations we can have now - he talked about what he does all day, I talked about my research, and we both understood what the other was doing, and that was cool.
Sigh. I get to see everyone in a month, though...

And it's not like you haven't seen it before... I think 7 eastern, unless a lot of people say that doesn't work.
