There's some nice Australian Shiraz (Shirazes?) out there.

I've been on a quest to find a bottle of Aussie Shiraz so cheap it's no good. Haven't succeeded yet. But it's definitely a personal preference thing.

I want an expense account. Dad's boss is afraid of him, so he ought to be able to get him to sign for even the extravegent evening he treated me to.... had a couple lovely glasses of Kim Crawford, which is one of the two best Sauv. Blancs in New Zealand, at his hotel until it got cool enough to eat. Then he took me to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse - third time I've been - for steak and a nice Cabernet. We had a great visit, and then had to go to a movie to get me sober enough to come home.

Sigh. I really miss the guys sometimes. When I stop to think about how far away they are. And how I miss having conversations with people who know all my little in-jokes and references and join in with the appropriate song lyrics at the appropriate places...

Now I have to try to get to sleep.

I'm already at my desk. Doctor's appointment was quick and painless. Got a lecture on smoking and told to use Afrin for my sinuses (but not more than 4 days in a row).

I have to go back in 2 weeks for bloodwork.
