When I got back from the Pancake Breakfast, a little after noon, I was exhausted. Had put BBQ Beef in the crock pot before I left at 6:30 this morning, so I didn't have to do anything to get lunch ready. After lunch, I cruised the web, and piddled around with the house plans til about 3:00, then conked out until about 6:30! Sure felt better when I woke up, though!
So..........Thank You! from Pfc. Evan S. of the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
I actually slept for an hour and a half...something I never do! Kind of a dozing type sleep...I was aware of Joshua laying his cheek on my forehead a couple of times and once I caught myself reaching for something I was semi-dreaming about...
Very unusual for me to lay down and sleep in the middle of the day, but I had a very exhausting morning up to that point. I did feel somewhat refreshed when I got up!
They lay for about 18 months almost every day, then they molt...then they should start up laying again, but at a much diminished rate. Jar Jar, Roy and Benny Hen went through the molt...Jar jar lays almost as good now as she ever did. Benny lays pretty good. Roy isn't laying at all. The Americaunas (the newbies) lay every day, they are too young to molt.
So both Puffy and Roy are non-layers now...
Steve and I had a long talk about how it's gonna be on the farm. Each jedi can have one pet hen and that's it (after these 5 have gone on to their just reward). Then we'll be getting about 25 hens and rotating them every 18 months with a fresh batch.
How wonderful! Thank you so much for your sacrifice and for your son's service...God bless you both!

Thank you SuziQ!
We have had a great year, topped off with a wonderful decadent dinner!
Thank you Bear, and good evening everyone!
Hey - That's our beach! The sunset should look exactly like that again tonight. Been a beautiful day.
Sunset on Wedding Day. :)
*Sniff* Can't believe it's been a whole year!
Neither can we! It's really gone fast.
I sure did enjoy my visit, sis...still think about the fun I had!
...and then we went out for seafood, had a seafood pasta with a lobster tail at the Oyster House where we went with all of you on the Oly waterfront.
Mmmm!!
That was so much fun!
I missed seeing Bear and Rose this past shootmoot...
Awww....
So, gonna keep him for another year?
Hmmm...
