Whew, made a Wal-Mart run for proteinacious food (mmm, chicken.... bacon... sausages...) and now the apartment needs a good scrub. I have been neglecting my chores shamefully, and I've got company coming tomorrow.

I have so many chores to do around the new place it is mind boggling. I need to go buy a mower so I can mow the lawn. I need to finish putting stuff in cabinets in the kitchen so I can clean up the kitchen so I can mop the floor... the list goes on and on.

I'd heard of leishmaniasis, but I don't remember when or where. Looks awful! Has the military looked into whether or not it is a result of any chem or bio warfare stuff? Sure looks nasty enough to have been.

Love the pic of you and Crystal with the horsey! He's a beautiful beast! So glad you had a nice mini-honeymoon! When we went on a trip for our 25th anniversary, we took SSQ's brother along with us! LOL! He's a priest, and we always take him with us on family vacations.

He'd always wanted to go to Key West, but didn't want to go alone, for the obvious reason, so we decided it would be a fun trip. We didn't tell HIM he was accompanying us on our second honeymooon, though, or he would have refused to go!

We had a great time, especially on the Sunset Cruise. Seeing the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico, while being out of sight of any land, was just glorious!

We can do it either way, I think if you invite him though he will make the trip. It is such a beautiful area.

Graybeard, I am told you would like to ride a horse. I invite you, if you would like to come, to ride a horse! We'll keep you safe, and let you in on great places to go and see in the PNW.

What you think of that horse in the background. I thought he was beautiful, and he was quite a large fellow.

He certainly is... looks like a Percheron, and probably weighs in around 2,000 pounds. My Bay is a relatively svelt 1,200 ;~D

Heh... well, it'll be worth it when you're all moved in to your own house. I think.

I have this bad habit of thinking that because I have a job, the chores will just take care of themselves. After all, Dad never scrubbed the bathtub... and I don't have to worry about outdoor chores, which he did do.

And mopping is no fun at all. Just did the kitchen and the bathroom and remembered how fun it is to have to try not to mop yourself into the corner.

Depends. If I'm eating in, I'll make an omelet. I may be going out with a galpal, though.

Ask Rosie about what she made... it's interesting...

Interesting? Is that why you're eating out?

Might just do that. I have to pull the shrimp out of the freezer though.

Weather guy sez a storm will be here in half an hour. Maybe I should throw some fertilizer out before it gets here.

It's tabouli...which I love, but you can see why it wouldn't be Jen's cuppa tea:
http://cropandsoil.oregonstate.edu/organic_grower/recipe/tabouli.html

I usually have it with yogurt on the side. It's tasty.

Sounds tastey, but is that all you're having for supper?

It's more filling than you'd think...especially with the yogurt.

So...probably.

There's also ice cream for dessert...

Mmmmm...ice cream....

I just finished off a bowl of cherries.

Think I hear some thunder so I think I'll pull out the shrimp and go throw some fertilizer around.

To smaagee:

It's only good manners to ping someone if you are going to talk about them. Especially if it's someone who knows where you live.

I've never jumped from an air plane either and I'm definitely interested in that. Know anybody who has one?

I thought you were coming by here today to show me your new 1 gauge shot gun.

Leishmaniasis is Latin for "Creeping Crud" by the way. The V.A. didn't tell you that did they?

P.S. Only 22 more shopping days until the old mans 60th B/Day.

To HairOfTheDog:

Thank you for your offer but Mrs. graybeard kind of wants to go to Las Vegas after I get to Cheyenne. I've never been there and I would like to see the Hoover Dam and Wayne Newton. I am going to ask Wayne to go with me to Hoover Dam and just maybe I will find an opportunity to push him off of it.
