OK, here's one: "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"
1971
Does she know how to use it?
And the frugal gourmet was a star until he started gladhanding his help!
Don't worry about it. When I read your reply, I thought, hey, that's right... Buddy Hinton. And then... into my mind came the thought... and his father's name was Ralph. Remember Mrs. Brady and Mrs. Hinton's discussion where Mrs. Hinton keeps saying "Ralph says...." So no doubt important information has been crowded out of my brain as well.
I actually had a sister-in-law who went to school with Tanya Tucker!! I was sooooo impressed.
The remakes are very good because Reba is just....Reba, she can't do anything bad.
In the early 70's there was this huge struggle of finding where you fit. Were you a hippie or a cowboy....Well, I was BOTH. Then came the Southern Rock thing and I finally fit in with a crowd.
LOVE that song....
Did you know that Johnny Cash sang it!?
"First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"
The first time ever I saw your face, I thought the sun rose in your eyes.
And the moon and stars were the gifts you gave,
To the dark and the endless sky, my love.
And the first time ever I kissed your mouth,
I felt the earth move through my hands.
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command.
And the first time ever I lay with you,
I felt your heart so close to mine.
And I know our joy would fill the earth,
And last till the end of time, my love.
The first time ever I saw your face.
That and "Killing Me Softly With His Song"
She thought for a moment, then said "Well...it depends on the dirt."
The Galloping Gourmet!
" You, babe...you're my bestest friend."
Rather ironic that his ex-wife would then later marry his bestest buddy at the time, Glen Campbell.
I had hot-pants with metal tack-heads on them. I also loved saddle-back jeans....I was just toooooo coooool. lol
Dumbest movie line of the 70's....(in nasally Brooklynese)"He hits my hair....I work hard on my hair and he hits it!"
I'll refer her to you for lessons if she does not! ;o)
"Girl, look what you've done to me ..."
The Afro is making a comeback. Let's hope only blacks go for it this time around!
That was on a bad day. ;o)
What, you got something against the Asian Afro?
LOL
