I think I've seen every movie Mr. Black has been in. He is so frickin funny.

High Fidelity is a great movie. I like John Cusack, too. You seen Gross Point Blank? He is a hit man. Very funny.

While we are over here having fun on this thread, it's breaking in the News forum that Deep Throat has been identified, and don't mean the porn one.

Seriously folks, it's all over the news as we speak. Some dude that was 2nd in command of the FBI at the time, now is 91.

What's amazing about that episode is how it plays today. Little Cindy is getting picked on, and when the bully won't quit, Peter steps up and pops him one in the mouth, knocking a tooth out and giving the bully the same speech impediment Cindy had.

And then they all make friends and go home.

I got my start in radio (I'm a ham radio operator) by getting on the CB back then, I still have the radios, they get "all" 23 channels (before they went to 40)

Me too. I still have a mint SBE Console II (among others) that has been converted to 40 channels....with a custom built D-104 mic, it really cranks!

I liked Neil Diamond too, teeny.

pissant, what a terrific thread. It's fun to read all the way through it and recall the heaertwarming '70s.

I loved every minute of the '70s, when I did not own a tv set. I loved weighing 112 pounds and living on the beach at Marina del Rey. I loved how safe it was to let the kids play on the beach night or day. I loved how affordable SoCal beach living was. I loved oversized sunglasses. I loved dancing to live bands or disco in Marina del Rey clubs. Gee golly, what would it take to make me that happy again? Big sigh.

John Cusack is one of my favorite actors.

Me, too. One of my current favorites is Vince Vaughn. He made a movie called Clay Pigeons (with Janneane Gapukealo, just disregard her . . .she sucks in it anyway). He is a serial killer, and it is something else. I recommend it to everyone I know. I love me some Vince.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to check it out.

I still implore you to rent "Almost Famous" as soon as possible.

And no, that's not Mark Hamill on the left.

You found a better pic than I did. The blonde was Biff Warren, just read that he passed away in 1993 at 38, AIDS.

Among the "Good", the Ramones save rock and roll.

AMEN! Particularly from that boring a-s Emerson Lake & Palmer/Yes/King Crimson "prog rock."
