LMAO! As bad as Wings were (and thanks for the ladies hygenic material line), I thought Lennon's solo stuff was just as horrible. Now I hate Yoko Ono, but, unlike many people, I don't consider her the Antichrist. I found Lennon to be whiny and self indulgent without McCartney's schlock to balance things off. Yoko was always a no-talent, but she certainly knew a sucker when she saw one.

lol-ing... It was his haircut and his jaw/lipline, and his glasses. I see it, now that you bring it up. That "pudding bowl" cut was so popular in the 70s. The neatened "beatle" look. I still have some belts from the 70s. "mod" belts. I yet wear these. :) What can I say about your bullfrog commentary upon John Denver; but that all I could ever think seeing Jim Morrison was "bubbles".
Singing John Denver tunes was like, near mandatory in my locale. If you didn't like John Denver, it was like you were killing the environment... "personally". Heavy social pressures to contend with back then...

"There was a song called Chevy Van. Had to be the world's cheesiest song!" I put her out
in a town that was so small
you could throw a rock from end to end
A dirt road main street
she walked off in bare feet
its a shame I won't be passing through again
but like a princess she was laying there
moonlight shining off her hair
she woke up and took me by the hand
we made love in my Chevy Van and that's alright with me.
(I am ashamed to say that is from memory)

Yoko was always a no-talent, but she certainly knew a sucker when she saw one. Q: What's the similarity between Ethiopians and Yoko Ono?
A: They both live off of dead beetles.

I had a 77 Coupe De Ville with 375,000 miles on it. That 425 motor would not die. I was sad when I got rid of it.

Oh yeah the shaggin' wagons. I was to young to enjoy them, but through all of the complaining, the teens were glad their parents had those. Think of all the dirty deeds done in the back of mom and dad's station wagon. My parents had the orange-brown color with the fake wood variety. In its defense...they did have the 305 V8 in there. Dad taught me how to drive in one of those.

It's the truth - ask my mother.
I worked and saved my pennies and bought a 1976 Rally Sport Camaro. I was always an over achiever.
