LOL. Ya, that oughta work. Better yet, let's go hourly. Then we'll all be pushing daisies before we reach 1990!

Yeah, yeah.

On 1/1/80, I got stoned.
On 1/2/80, I got stoned.
On 1/3/80, I got up early and walked around the neighborhood, making sure to pass by (my secret love) Donna's house, hoping to catch a glimpse of her, even though it was early Sunday morning and we had stayed up late after our friends Mike and Michelle's wedding and there was no way she was going to be up that early but I was such a love sick puppy I had to give it a try because I couldn't sleep anyway because I could not get her off of my mind and it was driving me crazy. Then, I got stoned.

1/4/80....etc.

A year or so later, while I was still mad about her but too much of a wussy to tell her, she married a friend of mine.

They decided to join the navy together. They took the tests, took their physicals and went to sign the forms making it official. They went into separate rooms.

She signed, he didn't.

She was NOT a happy camper. But, she did her four years and divorced the bum.

No. She moved to California then Ohio and I went to college and got married.

I actually drove up to see her 6 years ago (I hadn't seen her since 1982). I had to let her know how I felt, lo, those many years ago. I have been in love 3 times in my life, and she was number 2.

She was surprised, and pleased. Then, she hit me for not telling her then.

She will always be my "what might have been."

It was really weird.

We were friends for a long time before I started having feelings for her. Then, I wanted to ask her out, but everytime I was around her, my tongue turned to jello.

I said nonsense sentences like "huh Donna, hew yu don, tadoy?"
She probably thought I had a speech impediment.

She will always be my "what might have been."

I spent most of middle school and nearly all of high school mooning after a young lovely with whom I shared almost all my classes. In my sophomore year I casually introduced her to Ted, the guy who sat in front of me in one of the few classes I didn't share with said young lovely.

She and Ted went on a date that Friday. And again the Friday after that. By the end of the year the young lovely and Ted had made plans for her to graduate early so that they could marry...which they did. I attended the wedding, and those who knew of me and my endless stupid torch-carrying eyed me with sympathy as we all watched them walk down the aisle.

But wait, it gets better. Within five years the YL had divorced Ted and become a fat harridan with bad skin and a worse attitude. My thought upon discovering this was "Gee, I'm sure glad I dodged THAT bullet!"

So you see? Sometimes it all works out for the best! =]

"If we ever see the return of Leisure Suits, I'm gonna ...well, I don't know what I'm gonna do, but it won't be pretty."

You will probably do the unthinkable. You are woman, therefore you will wear one.
