It's true. I am just as much of a hideous monster in real life as I am on the threads.

Aren't I, my people?

Whatever!!!

I wasn't even 'pinged' to be one of your peeps!

Dang!

That's funny. Some twenty something kid was hitting on me in a bar one night. He was looking at my tattoo on my ankle, complimenting me. He asked when I got it. 1988, I said. He said, "Well, it was nice talking to you, MA'AM." Got my second in 1993, third in 1997. I am due for a new one. I have also considered getting my belly button pierced.

Apparently, we are both self-loating POS's.

Actually, I am simply in touch with my inner coolness!

Yep, all those! I still go to see Tull whenever I can. Ian Anderson is a wizard. What is left of Skynard is still rockin hard too, saw them open for ZZ Top a couple of years ago, and both bands still rock!

...you must be on my wavelength!

It's true what they say about tats, once you get one, you want more. I put a lot of thought (at least a year) into my first. The second was at a tatoo convention and was a blast. The peircing thing is because a girlfriend of mine got one and it looks cool.

Got my husband talked into his first tat, soon to come, and am thinking of a third myself. I had to promise sexual favors for him to go for the peircing. Oh well.

No poster, but I did have a tee-shirt with this screen-printed on the front. Bright yellow, no less.

A friend of mine told me that Grandpa from the Munsters ran for public office, I think a local one, in Missouri. She claimed there was a dispute because he wanted to be listed as "Grandpa" on the ballot.

Nirvana stinks to high heaven in my book. As does 1990s rock in general!

This is a photo taken in the garage that the 3 of us repeatedly kicked a young Kurt Cobain out of.

The problem with all of these 70's songs, including "The Night Chicago Died", were their insidious choruses that seemed to burrow their way into our sub-concious minds. I swear that just the mention of most of these songs makes me want take a scrub brush to my brain to remove them. That na-na-na-na part of "The Night Chicago Died" is currently on a loop in my head and I'm about to lose it!

When my husband was in junior high school, he interviewed Grandpa Munster for his school newspaper. He says that he was very nice and very funny, but he wouldn't let my husband ask questions from his notes. He told him that an interview should be a conversation not a question and answer session.

I liked your picture, by the way. It looks like you had consumed large quantities of alcohol and were having a very good time.

Re: cultural references it was interesting where in the comedic television series "Arrested Development" when "Michael Bluth" and his young niece do (what they think) is a harmless karaoke rendition of that dear old classic "Afternoon Delight" they're taken aback at the horrified reaction of their audience. "I never knew how dirty that song was" is definitly a keeper line.

I've got one:

Anyone remember the hideous 1977 song "Telephone Man"?

"He hung it in the closet,
He hung it on the wall..."

AUGH!
