It already did, a few years ago. Robert Urich was the latest captain, before he passed away from cancer.

LOL. And Alan Alda rubs me the WRONG WAY!

I agree with Hogan's Heroes. I didn't watch Baa Baa Black Sheep very often when I was young. As a politically aware adult, MASH can be grating, but it's still very funny.

It is better than the sequel. It spawned a whole lot of inferior knock-offs as well.
It holds up alright, I guess.
I think it is more nostalgic than the Wanderers is.
The Wanderers has a story to tell that is set in the waning days of an era. American Graffiti is more just a nostalgic look at an era and sub-culture of cruising in cars.

Why couldn't we leave the hippies/enviros in the past? The darn things breed like rabbits!

There were a number of no (or little) humor episodes of MASH and there were often moments of self-rightous indignation from Alan Alda and others.

I would have been happy to leave bomb throwing anarchist-socialists in the 1920s, but it didn't happen.
They've have a stake in overthrowing this nation for decades.

PBS spent Saturday night showing a documentary on Patty Hearst and an Alcatraz Indian sit-in.
Some don't want to forget the past radical chic era.
Except when it comes to John Kerry's anti-Vietnam gang plotting to kill elected Congressmen.
