What is the best beer in the world?
Ohhh... My Head... ^ | 5/17/2005 | A bunch of drunk dudes

The best beers in the world are ranked by seasoned professionals. I would have never guessed that Drie Fonteinen Schaarbeekse Kriek was considered numero uno. Particularly in light of the fact I can't pronounce it much less ever had a sip.

Enough of this froo froo crap. Miller High Life.

LOL. Busch in the bottle works just fine around here. Cans suck, however.

I find Busch cans to be better tasting than bottles...

I'd find a thread asking what the WORST beer is more interesting though.

FOr the best I'd say a hefe weiss like Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr or Franziskaner.

"Pilsner Urquil."

That's a really good beer too. Expensive, though.

My roommate used to say, There are two kinds of beer. Beer. And no beer.

Tuborg is pretty popular in Russia. Of the russian beers I found "Zolotaya Bozhka" to be decent. Baltika is always a good choice. The only decent mass produced beer in US is Sam Adams.

Interesting list. In quickly scanning the list, I've had the Smuttynose (#190) on tap at a local bar here in Charlottesville.........Very nice.

Those were the days. My Father would stock the storage room in the carport with PBR, and needless to say, I financed many a party in those days.

Guinness in the bottle. I can't believe I ever drank any of those other urine colored metallic tasting liquids.

OK, in my youth I suffered through Hamms and Genessee. Schlitz was OK too before they started to inport Guinness.

Nothing, however, beats those warm English beers that are un-pasteurized and only available in a London pub...

But, Guinness in the bottle for me. I'm off to have some now...

The best beer in the world is: Free© Beer

There is a song about that brand!

Free Beer by Da Yoopers

SOME GUYS LIKE THAT BOTTLED BEER
SOME LIKE IT IN A CAN
SOME SAY A KEG'S THE BEST BEER
FOR A REAL BEER DRINKING MAN
EVERYONE HAS THEIR FAVORITE
BUT ON ONE THING THEY AGREE
THE GREATEST BEER IN ALL THE WORLD
IS THE ONE YOU DRINK FOR FREE

CHORUS:

FREE BEER FREE BEER
THAT'S MY FAVORITE BRAND
IF I DIDN'T HAVE TO BUY IT
ITS THE BEST BEER IN THE LAND
WARM FLAT FUNKY
IT DON'T MATTER TO ME
THE GREATEST BEER IN THIS WHOLE WORLD
IS THE ONE YOU BUY FOR ME

2. THE BOYS AT THE BAR WERE BETTING
ON WHOSE BEER WAS THE BEST
I DIDN'T HAVE A NICKEL
SO THEY CHOSE ME TO MAKE THE TEST
THOSE FIFTEEN DIFFERENT KINDS OF BEER
WERE WONDERFUL TO ME
EACH ONE WAS MY FAVORITE BREW
THE BEER I DRINK FOR FREE

(REPEAT CHORUS)

3. OUR OLD PAL NUDSIE GOT MARRIED
HE WAS TRYING TO SAVE SOME BUCKS
HE WENT OUT AND BOUGHT THE CHEAPEST BEER
AND BOY IT REALLY SUCKED
BUT AFTER YOU CHOKE THAT FIRST ONE DOWN
THE REST GO EASILY
AS LONG AS YOU REMEMBER THAT
YOU'RE DRINKING THEM ALL FOR FREE

(REPEAT CHORUS)
