Mac ping
Thought they would be going for a Durango D-basic.
Resistance is futile...
The software that runs my business won't run on Macs.
The (few) games I like won't run on Macs.
WinXP Pro is stable on 6 systems at home and work.
No wonder Macs are at 1.5% or so.
Once you go Mac, you never go back.
Good lemming! Don't think too hard, just follow the leader!
A PC and a Mac, why dump one for the other if you can have them both?
Nothing wrong with a Mac...
except (for me),
I like to upgrade frequently (without buying a new computer).
Many of my favorite programs (including FS9) are not available for the Mac.
High price of components due to single source.
High price of hardware/software for the Mac.
For some, it is a fine piece of equipment...although a bit overpriced.
Do you watch the DVD-Rom portions of the bonus features? I will usually watch the other stuff but have never bothered with that stuff.
Stability is in the mind of beholder. Windows can be crashed in a blink of an eye. Mac OS X has been very stable, since the Beta days (I have used all, but 10.4).
If you really need to see those DVD portions, you could run Virtual PC. Most of the good games have been ported to the mac.
MYOB is a very good software for running a business and even comes with a quality manual that is x10 better than Quickbooks.
I am able to work from home because my home PC can communicate with the PC at the office. If I had a Mac, I would not be able to do this, and I'd have to waste my time driving to work every day.
I have no doubt that the current generation of Macs are good computers, if the iPod is any indication - they just don't suit my present needs.
Sometimes I do. There's lots of fluff, like websites, but sometimes something useful.
I have been working on macs, since '95 and have found that they last longer software and hardware-wise (with a few exceptions). School labs full of macs last for years even after that much abuse and they push them to the extremes.
I'm not talking bookkeeping, I'm talking about running the business. I looked at what was available for Macs, and it truly, truly sucked - amateurish and years behind the Win-platform products, even most of the proprietary-hardware stuff.
I like the blue screen of death, at least you know there is a problem, MACs however just die without warning.

Once you turn back from the Mac you'll quite being slack!
How do you like that Jack!
or...
If you like the Mac you must be on crack!
