The software that runs my business won't run on Macs.
The (few) games I like won't run on Macs.
WinXP Pro is stable on 6 systems at home and work.
No wonder Macs are at 1.5% or so.
Good lemming! Don't think too hard, just follow the leader!
Do you watch the DVD-Rom portions of the bonus features? I will usually watch the other stuff but have never bothered with that stuff.
Stability is in the mind of beholder. Windows can be crashed in a blink of an eye. Mac OS X has been very stable, since the Beta days (I have used all, but 10.4).
If you really need to see those DVD portions, you could run Virtual PC. Most of the good games have been ported to the mac.
MYOB is a very good software for running a business and even comes with a quality manual that is x10 better than Quickbooks.
Preach it brother.
And as the games go away so will the fast paced 3d card market subside and the ever increasing need for faster PC processors become less important. The whole personal computer market will slow down as the smaller game console market gets bigger and the hardware differences between linux, MS Windows, and macOS will seem less important.
People who still build their computer tweaking it for speed will soon be as scarce as those who were still building their own radios from kits in the 60s and 70s.
