10 Songs that Make You Crack Open a Beer While Driving (vanity)
MyMind | 5/22/05 | Sir Pissant

Posted on 05/22/2005 7:13:27 AM PDT by pissant

There are just some songs that are so good, that when heard on the car radio, they trigger an automatic reflex to pop open a frosty cold brew. I know it's illegal in most states, but the law be damned when RYS (Retrograde Youth Syndrome) is triggered by the the following songs:

10. Pride and Joy (Stevie Ray Vaughn)

9. Wild Night (Van Morrison)

8. Locomotive Breath (Tull)

7. White Room (Cream)

6. You Shook Me (AC/DC)

5. London Calling (clash)

4. Sultans of Swing (Dire Staights)

3. Honky Tonk Women (Stones)

2. Roadhouse Blues (Doors)

1. La Grange (ZZ Top)

My all time fav driving music is the whole "Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!" album by the Stones. I can't listen to it without cranking up the volume, rolling down the windows, and stepping on the gas.

Mystery Achievement is a GREAT song. Great bass line in that one. Too bad Chrissie Hynde is such a pant load, she's got one of the best rocker chick voices.

The Cars are a great 80s memory. Shake it Up!

I pretty much bailed in the early seventies

Exactly!

1972...I wish I still remembered the song. It was a big hit, and I thought it stunk (Hard rock or acid rock). It occurred to me that I didn't like ANY of the new stuff.

...and a ^5 for the Fortunate 52's! (Were you born in '52 or '53?)

^5!

I was born in July 1952, just early enough for my twin sister to see the Beatles in DC (see them, because she couldn't hear them for the screaming).
