I have been here since '98 under this name and a year before than under another and someone called me a troll last year. If you cross some people that is what you are called. Personally I am careful not to throw insults around.

Thanks! It's good to see Freepers are welcoming of New members. It's easy to get carried away with trolls because they come so often. That said, it's better to error on the side of caution than hurting and chasing away a genuine newbie.

I know that I have welcomed and conversed with trolls and felt a bit foolish afterwards. One time there were threee on one thread. LOL! However, I would rather that than insult a newbie. I remember my first post, and now I think back about how stupid it was, LOL but some comments intimidated me from posting for a very long time.

Yep, you're right. It was #199, and I just saw that it was deleted.

Basically, he was blaming me and the others for getting him banned.

Of course, he is not banned. The only time I hit abuse was when he posted a PRIVATE FReepmail message on the public thread. Not cool.

And, as I replied to him, anything that happens to him was of his own doing. I can't remember a more sorry display of rude behavior.
