Finding Michael Savage Streaming

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any websites that run Michael Savage's show from 9-12 pm PST. I currently listen on krla 870 from 6-9, but sometimes i'm busy so that's not always convenient. So, if you know of any shows that play at other times besides 6-9 PST (perferably after 9, but before 6 is also cool) I'd really appreciate a link. Thanks! :)

There are those of us who do not think that all political thought comes down to Republicans or DemoRats, but we still don't care for Savage. Doesn't mean we're Bush bots or checked pants Republicans. Doesn't mean we're not patriots. Liking or disliking a specific talk show host should hardly be some kind of litmus test for patriotism.

Can't help with the streaming question, but I do want to comment on Savage. I enjoy his show more than any other talk show. Sure, sometimes he's irritating, sometimes maddening, and sometimes inconsistent. His ego is also bigger than Rush's or Vanity's (if that's possible).

However, he is one of the few radio talkers who have railed long and hard about the immigration issue. Other big talkers mention it obliquely, if at all. Savage doesn't take his talking points from Karl Rove--that's why many (and, yes, I understand: not all) here on FR don't like him. Whether on immigration, homosexual "rights", billions for African AIDs, or runaway federal spending, Savage is willing to buck the White House and the Republican empty suits. He describes himself as a Goldwater Republican. I find no fault in that description.

I find Savage to be one of the more interesting hosts on talk-radio, and listen either over-the-air or on WRKO.com (WRKO 7PM-10PM Eastern). I record on cassette for Mrs. Mean, who works when he is on the air. I thinking about using streaming recording software to record the program instead; anybody have any experience with streaming recording?

Eh, good question. Savage does engender strong emotions - a lot of people either love him or hate him. I used to listen to him when he first came on the air in San Francisco quite a few years ago, and listened for several years until I just got tired of him and his style. I also was put off when he yelled, screamed, and called a caller an idiot and hung up on him for trying to correct a fact (not a matter of opinion, but a factual matter) that Savage had wrong. The caller was polite and respectful, not abusive or rude. The caller was correct, Savage was wrong.

I was also at one of his Paul Revere Society functions, and he was drinking vodka onstage (not that I object to drinking - I consume adult beverages myself, but not when I'm supposed to be speaking before an audience). He was rambling, saying anything that came into his head. He wasn't interesting or entertaining at that poing, the program was pretty much over, so people were leaving. He started mocking them with stuff like people people getting their Depends in a wad because he was telling the truth. Well, nice. We paid a fair chunk of change to be there, and had a bit of a drive to attend, and were being insulted and mocked for it.

It's stuff like that has caused me to turn the radio dial. I don't hate him, how can I? I don't know him personally, but I don't care for him. I know lots of people love him, and wouldn't insult them for their choice.

Savage has been dead on 80% of what he talks about. The other 20% is rambling and incoherent. For example,

1) He backed Lt. Pantone

2) He backed the Swifties all the way

3) He wants the borders sealed

4) He thought what they did to Schiavo was an outrage

5)He talked about the burning of the Serbian churches by the Islamofascists; etc...

Ignore the people who hate Savage, there either liberals or GOP kool-aid drinkers, or older and not used to the emotions (like my grandparents) they agree with him but dont like listening to him. The people who dont like him are the ones that say all R's good all D's bad. I like Savage because he isnt trying to get into the Repub tent like everyone else. Let them listen to the talking heads like Rush and Vanity ...
