"It is just one of those re-occuring things. I hope this doesn't come true in our country. Maybe the film will awaken people to the situation of how dangerous it is . . . The parallels between what we did in Vietnam and what we are doing now in Iraq are unbelievable." --George "Michael Moore" Lucas
sorry folks...we know this one hurts, but this idiot does not deserve our money. We are at war and to fan the flames of anti-Americanism around the globe is irresponsible and dangerous. George Lucas will never see a dime of my money again.
well put...
it's not the art...it's the interview.
it's your money.
me, too...until now. I love my country much more than a sci-fi flick. I'm sad about this, I loved the Star Wars universe, but I'm not that 11 yr old kid anymore...
Oooh, the trite Roman Empire allusion. Boycott the movie if you want, but don't turn your boycott into some holy crusade for the succor of civilization. Neither you, nor the movie, are quite that important.
It's a movie.
and that's certainly your right...my niche is Hollywood celebs whom I've helped to enrich...yet now abandon our country and embolden our enemies. it's not everyone's thing. just spreading the word.
I have only seen the first one in '77. I don't know diddley about Star Trek/Wars or whatever it is called.
well put...
brownshirt? give me a break...
Lucas has his right to express his opinion as do I. Free speech is a TWO way street.
You are correct.
I don't expect great paintings or sculptures from the politicians.
Why should I expect artists to be political?
It's an apples and oranges kind of thing, and takes a high school education to see the difference.
Amen.. We're beginning to sound like a bunch of PC whiners who throw a fit any time discourse doesn't suit our tastes.
well enjoy...I'm just spreading the word to those who may be unaware of what Lucas had to say to the foreign press. My support for the troops is so strong I've recently enlisted...so I'd hardly call it misplaced. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion as well.
I just don't think Lucas deserves my money...ever again.
Hollywood is currently reeling b/c patriots across the country have sent them a strong message...ever heard of The Dixie Chicks? Danny Glover? Jeanine Garofalo?
you're right...I'm sorry. I see the error of my thinking now...LOL
and he only said words...right?
I know it's a movie...
ping
Never heard of any of them. :)
Better luck next time.
