Not being sarcastic but I eventually had enough of IE's required upgrades and foibles so I installed Mozilla and haven't been happier. Internet Explorer was actually crashing because the "corrective" components wouldn't work with the basic program. Who's fooling who, Mr Gates?
Retain an IE shortcut for Microsoft updates and the rare site that's stupidly configured to work with it alone. In their never-ceasing attempt to attain cyber-imperialism Microsoft won't allow updates through any non-Microsoft applications. May the Farce be with you.

Firefox is great. I use both IE and Firefox. In addition, I tweaked IE so that it now runs as fast as Firefox (still no tabbed browsing with IE, though, of course).

I eventually had enough of IE's required upgrades and foibles This is not a MS problem, it's an add-on spyware tool that this person installed. It's no different than the add on tools you can add to Firefox. Some are good, some are crap.
