We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Vice President Cheney stated yesterday that Al Qa'eda had been hurt since the 9/11 attacks, but was still actively recruiting members to perpretrate attacks on the American homeland.
The search continues for the pilots of two planes lost over Iraq. It is believed the planes collided during operations in bad weather.
In Pittsburgh yesterday, police arrested a deaf-mute man for shooting his deaf-mute sister and his deaf-mute brother-in-law for attempting to move his deaf-mute parents.
And the media did finally get around to commenting on Laura Bush's performance before the National Press Club. The headline of the op-ed piece in the NY Times went thus: LAURA BUSH TALKS DIRTY. The content of the article lived up to the billing--a total hit piece.
The leftstream media cannot buy a clue to find a clue as to how to get it. They are hopeless.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
That money could have been much better spent than on Kyoto. And on all kinds of liberal feel-good projects like AIDS and cancer research, or feeding and sheltering the homeless(oh, that's right, there were no homeless people between 1993-2001), or a dozen other worthy projects. Instead, they flushed it down a hole.
It's not? :)
Hey, I know. Let's you and I agree the earth is flat, and since we agree it's flat, and that we can support each other's contention it is flat, then it is, indeed flat.
That is what those yo-yos do. They postulate a hypothetical, get some (1,000 scientists is still a pretty small pool, IMO) folks to buy into it, and then agree its true.
Loved your rant. Spot on!
You don't get it.
The homeless are caused by global warming, which would be cured by Kyoto, which was only required because President Bush did not accept the theories of the learned of 1,000 years ago that the Earth is flat.
And, moreover, the Earth is only round today because its flat surface was warped by global warming!
LOL! Good analysis! Is Kyoto also going to cure AIDS, cancer, and hemmheroids? ;^)
I'll just be happy if it mows my lawn.
Speaking of that, I need to mow mine, soon. It's been raining on and off for the past couple of weeks, and it's getting a little rough out there. Maybe Kyoto can mow my lawn?
Off to work for a few hours. Not feeling good at all this morning, but I need to make a little $ this week.
Cleanup on aisle 88....
And what percentage of the world's goods and services does the United States produce?
And what is the ratio between that and the CO2 output?
And how does that compare to China--that is to say, what is the CO2 output per unit of production in the United States versus a unit of output in China?
First--they just want to slow down the United States because they can't compete. Ah, gee, too bad. Maybe they ought to dump their socialist economies.
Second--What's the status of Great Britain?
Seeing as how y'all handled the situation with typical FR competence and aplomb, I shall return to my duties knowing I leave the thread in good hands.
Ah, come on. Whack-A-Troll (TM) is great fun!
All the countries in the world together are responsible for less than 3% of the Earths total greenhouse gas emissions (the rest are natural), and the U.S. emits only 1/5 of this. The Kyoto treaty would force the U.S. to slash emissions and fossil fuel use by some 25% over the next decade an impossible task that would cost millions of jobs and over $300 billion annually, according to government and other studies.
Even perfect compliance with Kyoto would keep average global temperatures from rising only 0.3 degrees less than they would by 2050 in the absence of a climate treaty. Actually stabilizing greenhouse gases and temperatures would require 19 to 40 successful climate treaties causing ruinous social and economic impacts, and diverting resources from solvable problems like AIDS, malaria, poverty and poor sanitation.
What then energizes all these false prophets of doom and their demands for immediate drastic action? Simply put, profits and power.
You still here? You are a socialist or communist who thinks throwing money down the toilet-hole of Kyoto will somehow assauage your guilt-ridden pathetic self-image. Bet you've never held a real job in your life, young lady.
Be gone, green troll!
LOL!
I noticed he is, so far, only responding to me.
This is odd.
Hmm.
Think I'll have some fun with him.
Thanks!
You tell 'im Prairie.
Of note:
Carbon dioxide emissions grew substantially in Developing Asia between 1980 and 2001, rising 151% -- 4.5% per year -- from 2,398 MMT to 6,027 MMT. The bulk of the regions carbon dioxide emissions come from its two populous giants, India and China. In 2001, these two countries accounted for two thirds of all of Developing Asias carbon dioxide emissions.
Also this:
If Chinas carbon dioxide intensity had not declined between 1980 and 2001 [From 2.1MT/$(US-95)1,000 to 0.65MT/$(US-95)1,000], ceteris paribus, the country would have emitted about 9,870 MMT of carbon dioxide in 2001. This is more than all the carbon dioxide emitted by the G-7 in that year.
Conclusion: China is producing CO2 emissions at one-third of ALL G-7 members combined!
There's your data. Now be gone!
Yeah they do, in reducing the 'pollutants' that were previously regulated to prevent 'acid rain', they already reduced carbon dioxide emissions in doing that.
And there are regulations of one kind or another in place.
The Kyoto treaty is a bad treaty, it is designed merely 'to stick it to the US.'
The treaty should be consigned to where it belongs -the toilet after use as toilet paper.
It is a worthless treaty that is farcical at best, malicious at worst, and useless to do what it claims to aim to achieve.
"More to the point, though, who said that countries shouldn't act in the greater good?"
Well, let's see.. Germany and France said that when we took down Saddam.
