AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1563) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | May 2, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 05/02/2005 4:39:30 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Oil is down to around $49/bbl.

North Korea test fired a short-range missile into the Sea of Japan. The Administration said North Korea was trying to be "the bullies of the world."

And at the National Press Club, Laura Bush left them in stitches. For example: "George always says he's delighted to come to these press dinners. Baloney. He's usually in bed by now. I'm not kidding. I said to him the other day, 'George, if you really want to end tyranny in the world, you're going to have to stay up later."

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I'm surprised there isn't a headline: "First Lady says President Sleeps While Tyranny Flourishes"!

Good morning, and a cold one here!

Tired of the runaway bride coverage, needless to say.

I was watching F&F yesterday, and all the e-mails said "Enough with the Runaway Bride". You'd think they'd have gotten the hint. Instead, they just plowed on covering this ridiculous non-story.

Speaking of FoxNews, apparently Juan Williams launched into quite a tirade against nominee Judge Janice Rogers Brown. CaptainsQuarters blog has a partial transcipt of the exchange between Juan and Bill Kristol. Here's a snip of the Captains comments about it and a link:

Got that? Not only is she a religious extremist who wants to deny minorities access of affirmative action, now she's hostile to people with disabilities. Can Juan Williams add any more Leftist bogeymen onto Brown? He certainly tried; according to one CQ reader, Williams conducted a mini-filibuster on Fox that left everyone else dumbfounded in the face of his hysteria about Brown.

The Smear Continues on Brown

Good morning everybody.

Brit must not have been there to slap him down. Bill Kristol can do it sometimes, but when it comes to Juan Williams, Brit is like Tom DeLay: he's the Hammer.

It's been a couple of weeks now, and I've had zero comments from [screen name deleted] about the small blurb I put into each one about the Yankees.

HA!

Considering the shape the Indians are in (pathetic, terrible, disastrous, digging a deep hole)...I consider entering into any, ANY, baseball talk dangerous territory..no matter how well, or POORLY the Bronx Bombers are doing!

Mornin' everyone!!

I've abstained from talking about baseball because I'm focused on other things that take a higher priority. However, if Raven wants to discuss the Yankees, feel free to discuss how a $200 million team is 7 1/2 games behind a $75 million team and five games below .500 and sitting in fourth place in the AL East.

The media is in shock. Laura Bush got up in front of the toughest audience in the world for a Republican and was more charming, likable and funny than any first lady in history. The point that every liberal got,was the combination of Hillary, Whoopi Goldberg, Ellen Degenerate and Roseanne on their best day could not equal Laura's performance.

What Laura managed to paint herself and the entire Bush family as warm, caring, funny and very human people.

Could anyone imagine Hillary standing in the same spot in the fifth year of the Clinton presidency and making similar jokes about Bill Clinton.

There is a reasonable audience for the Correspondents dinner. But one thing is certain, every journalism major in every college watches this every year. They are taught day in and day out that Conservatives are evil, humorless, people who never deserve an even break. What they got to see was the media big shots give Laura Bush a standing ovation. Every person watching understands that Laura Bush did that routine with the full support of her husband.

None of them could imagine a Bill Clinton, Al Gore, or John Kerry being secure enough to encourage their wifes to poke fun at them. And were Hillary to become president, no one could imagine Bill Clinton being allowed to say similar things about Hillary.

Consider that Laura included Lynn and Dick Cheney, Condi Rice, Karen Hughes, and Donald Rumsfeld in the monologue. She made certain to mention their names in a very positive fashion. The media got told who has influence and who is in the inner circle of the Bush administration. Any one on the left that reported earlier this spring that Rummy was on his way out... just got told that is a lie. The mention that the President, Cheney, and Rummy get along well together was a message to the media that they could not miss.

Laura made the point that the Bush administration will not turn its back on its people just because the media tries to take them down.

What we saw was a very happily married couple. Secure in their marriage and in each other. The contrast with the Kerrys, Gores and Clintons could not have been more clear. It is probably not a conscious thought. But there are many people who have positive impression of the marriages of the Reagans and both Bush Presidents. The contrast with the marriages of the Clintons, Gores and Kerrys could not be more clear.

They say the Democrats are the Mommy party and the Republicans are the Daddy party. How many people in 2008 will want Hillary as a surrogate mommy. I think it would take a pretty bad Daddy to lose that contest.

Remember the trouble Don Imus got into with the MSM for his speech where he made a few jokes about X42? I saw this morning that David Corn was whining that her jokes were too risque. Typical leftist hack. No sense of humor. They're too self serious for that.

The Administration said North Korea was trying to be "the bullies of the world."

I wish they wouldn't talk like this. This sounds like something I would hear on the playground when I was in grade school. Surely the adults we elected can talk in a substantially more mature manner than this.
