What does this have to do with the promotion of conservative viewpoints? Well, nothing I suppose. However, for those of us born in the late 1960s (as myself) the news that this iconic zenith of Saturday morning programming is being made into a feature film starring Ferrell must bring mixed emotions.
I remember watching the show as a child. I *LIVED* for this show! I thought the special effects were State of the Art! I can still sing the theme song.
Who am I kidding? Yeah, I'll probably see it.

Well we know from Jay and Silent Bob that he can play all three main characters, should make the production cheaper.

funny, I'm a little older, watched every episode, I think, and thought it might be the nadir, not the zenith....
I've even watched it in syndicated reruns...what is it that keeps me watching?
Don't know if I'll see the film....it won't have that same ability to obsess me, I suspect....

Great - ferrell can bring his one character type to the land of the lost. "Clueless and obnoxious moron" meets the sleestacks.

I was born in 1966, so Land of the Lost was a staple of mine too. I know the special effects were not always up to snuff, but I think the writing and plots made up for it. The third season with "Uncle Jack" wasn't the greatest but I liked the shows where they played with the pylons, encountered a Confederate soldier and of course, who can forget the Sleestak. The Sleestak still put some fear into me to this very day although I do admit they can't hit the broadside of a barn with the crossbows. The Library of Skulls in The Lost City were kind of eerie too.
