Yeah, I seem to remember her having some MT gear, which is all supercool. I hooked my coworker last week. He sent me an email at about three in the morning saying he'd finished it and now he was sad because he had to wait til Monday for more.

Good for Clare's friends! Maybe they can do something about the dreadful state of cartoons these days. Nothing is both well-drawn and well-written.

I think Emilee's goal is to one day write graphic novels, or create anime, I'm not sure which. She is NEVER without a notebook, either writing her ongoing story or drawing a picture. She would LOVE to go to Savannah, but her parents are nervous about her going so far away from home, and not having anyone close by in case of an emergency. Emilee has an Aunt in Atlanta, which is close enough as far as I'm concerned, but her parents are still worried. The way I look at it, if that's the best school for her, let her go! She may be sheltered now, but she'll learn about life, and it's a small enough school, that she will even be sheltered there to some extent.

When Clare and I were at the Graduation ceremonies for St. John's High School on Sunday, we noticed how few students were leaving the New England region to go to college. I'd venture to guess that less than 20% were going to school outside MA,NH,CT, RI or NY. Granted, there are some of the better schools in this area, but there are lots more other places! Folks I talk to don't want their kids to go too far because of the cost of plane flights getting them back and forth during the year. Seems a small price to pay to let the kids go where the program is best for them, rather than where it is convenient for the family.
