I guess I'd need green bottles, though...maybe it keeps better in green bottles?

I'm not sure you have to have the green bottles. Just a simple google I found that it's mostly tradition because glass used to always be green. But other websites say that the UV rays would harm the wine. But that same website asks "why are you storing your wine in the sun?"
