Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, they are. LOL Look up Migraine Aura. They can actually be much much worse.
People don't realize many times how severe a neurological event a migraine can be! You can literally loose control of body parts! But the difference is in the way it reverses it's self. With strokes or even transient eschemic attacks (mini strokes), the recovery is not so complete or abrupt.

I am laughing so hard over some of the MegaTokyo!! The artist/writer has a wicked sense of humor.

Yeah, admittedly some of the humor is ubergeek, some of the appeal is universal. Check out Sluggy Freelance too (sluggy.com) - the art's lame but you might learn something about how to tell a long drawn-out story in comics.
Sorry, I'm sooo not an artist, I don't hang out at art boards at all. I think there's a big fantasy-type board called elfwood or something similar, but that's the extent of my knowledge.

ShootMoot Bulletin 0524-1 We're trying to figure out what everyone would like to eat and drink while they are here.
We have a big 5 lbs box of shrimp that we're planning to cook up one evening. That, along with the deer and turkey, is all we have planned. Do you all want to grill out dogs and burgers?...Chicken? Big roast in the crock-pot? What does everyone want to drink?
We'll have juice, milk, coffee, and of course g'nad's beer.
What do you all want for lunch...lunch meat/pbj?
We've got fresh eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes on the menu for breakfast and home-made icecream for desert...
any other requests?
Discuss...
Feel free to request... mrsnad

Shrimp... deer... turkey, pancakes, sausage... do I have to go home again?
Would you like us to schlep in some stuff? I was planning on bringing a six-pack of my morning caffeine. We've got a big trunk and a little cooler, so we could bring stuff... how 'bout I bring along two favorite wines, a red and a white, for with the wildlife dinner? Anything else we can carry?

OT's chicken wings? She makes killer wings!
Are you keeping track of how much we're going to need to contribute toward the food?

Did you say a half gallon of cream was what we'd need for the ice cream? I remember three gallons of milk.

Oh, yeah, like I'm gonna take advice from an 800 year old frog. One thing that Star Wars movie convinced me of is that the Jedi deserved to get wiped out with their smug superiority and their "attatchment leads to jealousy" silliness.
Ok, I'll take the camera....

And how is it the Jedi survived for thousands of years? Surely Anakin wasn't the first Jedi to fall in love... and you'd think they'd have encouraged Jedi to produce Jedilings instead of randomly happening across children on desert planets.

I'm fine. Gotta splitting headache is all. Back in 1997, when this happened before, I went to see a neurologist, right? She told me "Next time you get a migraine bad like this, don't suffer! Come in and I'll give you a Demerol shot."
LOL!!! You think the offer still stands? "Hello Doctor Edwards...way back 8 years ago, you said to come in for a Demerol shot if I got a migraine...I'm coming in!"
Heh heh. I'm not even on the same insurance plan.
