heh... we're pretty much the same as OT... hi of 80 tuhday... the 70s fer the rest of the week... 30% chance of showers on Thursday...
guess I'll go water thegarden...
paging the Homely dwarf tuh the white courtesy phone... the Homely dwarf tuh the white courtesy phone...
I had Joseph scalp the lawn on Friday, mainly to cut down the dandelions that were growing. The weather folks said it was supposed to start raining on Friday and rain all weekend. I thought it would be great cause the lawn would get a really good watering. All we got was a little spit of rain on Sat. night, but it was cool and damp all weekend, so the grass didn't get too brown! The rain this week will help out nicely, and it won't grow too long since it got cut so short last week!
I finally got Ortho Weed-Be-Gone tuh combat the encroaching broadleaves... "kills the weeds, not the grass..." appears tuh werk purty good...
lawn growth has defintely slowed, but ain't stopped...
Good morning! Will catch up here later. Could use prayers from any so inclined...I have a interview sort of thing at the place I'm hoping to work - not really quite a followup job interview, but still could make a difference. I'd appreciate prayers!
You got it! :)
Mornin'
Prayers Rosie.
Two guys was discussin' fashion and shoppin tips this mornin' in thelockeroom. (One guy was plannin' fer his trip to Ft. Lauderdale).
I gotta me a new gym...
Ooooh! And I just love those cute new shoes they have on sale at Penney's, don't you?
Good morning Hobbit Hole!!!
Rosie, I wisht I'd known yesterday that it was the day of your mom's passing...I sure woulda lifted you up all day. I hope you're feeling better today? Nothing about that job yet?
Hair, the trailer looks GREAT! Love the pic with the old barn!
g'nad, are you going to be going to church during Shootmoot? I'd love to go to your church! Sounds like a great place!
Steve became a bit emotional during the kindergarten graduation...a couple of the kids, besides Joshua, were the ones we "taught" Sunday School to as substitutes. Remember the story? Joshua wouldn't go into Sunday School unless we came in with him so we said "Screw it!" and went in with him and didn't care if it split the nation. Got a bit of ridicule even, from one of the other teachers, but when it came time for Joshua's actual teachers to go on vacation, guess who they hit up to sub? LOL!! We became the permanent substitutes, not for any class, just that particular class and changed a few of the "graduating" kindergartener's diapers and were so proud when they learned to talk and became potty trained...it was kinda neat to see a few of them up there getting so big.
It stormed here last night...nice gentle rolling thunder storm.
Made yogurt again last night...so of course I'm thinking of you! LOL I don't have any of my raw milk, so I'm just making it with regular whole milk, two spoonfuls of Brown Cow whole milk yogurt and a half a cup of powdered milk. I incubate it for 12 hours...that's the sourness level I like...a bit more sour that it could be but not unbearable. I also made it in recycled plastic yogurt cups and it turned out just fine...now I can go ahead and make another batch and not have to worry about cleaning out and washing these.
Mornin' to ya, 2J.
Still trying to wake up here. Coffee isn't working yet.
Matthew's shoulders peeled. There are two spots, just around that pointy bones on the top of his shoulders, that are so badly burned, they are second degree...it effected not only the top layer but several layers underneath and is truly injured.
I have some Silvadene cream (prescription for burn injuries) and I'm applying that.
Good morning, sis!
I gotta go out and clean up the yard...stuff blew all over from where we were cleaning out the garage...gotta get it up 'fore the neighbors think we're slobs! LOL
WooHoo! Any sort of interview means you're still under consideration! Prayers on the way!
Bless his heart! Been there, done that. You know, he could wear a t-shirt while he's swimming to help shield his shoulders for the next couple of times out. You could put the sunscreen under the shirt, just for extra protection. Then when his shoulders are completely healed, he can go back to just the sunscreen.
Good morning! I'm guessing Rosie went to the early mass before her appointment. I got up and she was gone.
Got in my workout. Just need to shower and get moving...
Hey Mrsnad!
Steve sautéed me some liver and onions last night. I love the stuff, he hates it...but he cooks it the BEST!
I am the only person in my family that eats it...Joshua would, but he's not crazy about it. So Steve cooked up fried chicken breast for the rest of the family.
So I can buy a pound of liver and eat it all by myself without feeling like I gotta share!! LOL
Can't wait to get back home and eat real, home-cooked, non-restaurant food. :)
Yeah, but we're taking a "break" today for a while...no swimming until the pool is covered with shade from the tree. That happens pretty early right now...around 4pm, so they'll still have plenty of time to play.
Oh, and that's not all...Sat. Matthew slipped and fell in the bathtub, fell face first and hit his mouth on the floor of the tub. I was vacuuming and didn't hear him. Busted his lip, his nose and bonked his forehead good and I didn't even know it till he got out of the tub and stuck his head out the door.
I had an awful few days at the end of last week, I tell ya. I sat in Sunday school and cried and cried...mainly out of mental exhaustion, I believe!
