Save the ceiling for a rainy day...
Have to go up in the attic for that one...
Okay! Got the dirt!
A funny thing happened in the parking lot. Stupid remote control securtity button thingy didn't work! So I've got a cart full of dirt right behind the trunk and I can't get the stoopid thing to unlock. (Coulda used the key but the alarm woulda gone off.) Anyway...I'm fighting with this stoopid plastic thingy trying to get it apart, then I fiddle around with the battery and the contacts and stuff until I finally get it to work.
Dang new-fangled dee-vices.
Think I'll go for a walk before digging in the dirt.
In the ceiling? Ick! I might have a Corin Moment!
Yep, we're real lucky to have such a homeschool supportive church...
We go on field trips together and such, although this past year I didn't do as much as I woulda liked because of my car giving me grief and just general poverty! LOL!
I'm pretty good friends with most of the people in the group...and a few of the men work for Williams, which is who Steve would like to get on with so we can stay in the Tulsa area. So he's got a couple of references, anyway.
Great resource!
I'm finished playing in the dirt. I'm pooped!
Ugh... I'm uncomfortable enough in our not-quite-90 weather.
I'm pooped, too. From hiking, though. I'm not in the worst shape imaginable but the altitude sure suggested otherwise! Good thing the colleagues I was with were in similar condition - unlike the last hiking trip where my companions were cross-country-running-fitness fanatics.
Trade ya.
Now I've got to catch up on the dishes. Ugh!
Trade me what??
I did make a little fountain for the sunroom....a small pump in a clay pot with river rock inside a plastic bowl. It ain't purty but it sounds nice.
Yeah, here too. And our windows face east, not west, so it's relatively cool. But they should open the pool...
I'll have some pics later this week of some of the mountain streams we came across. *sigh* I miss 'em already.
We went out to AZ in 2000, and were amazed at the difference in temps from Phoenix to Sedona! It was lovely up in the mountains!
Today would have been a great day for planting outside. It's been overcast and about mid 50's. I was too pooped, though, even before the morning got started. We had a benefit concert at our Parish last night to raise money for and awareness of the plight of those in Darfur, Sudan. I helped serve snacks to folks at intermission, then clean up afterward. Got home about 10:30, then we watched 13th Warrior. I finally got to bed around 2:30, and had to get up at about 7. Clare and I sang in the choir for the Graduation Mass for St. John's High School. Joseph is a Freshman, but our older two graduated from there. They asked for folks to help in the choir, so we volunteered. We had to be there at 8:15, and the Mass and Graduation Ceremony lasted from 9-12. I came home and took a 2 hour NAP! I felt a little better, but still need more sleep!
Mmm...sleep...
Evenin', Suzi! Still hot here, but I hear thunder coming. Maybe it'll cool things down!
Jen's at church - the local church she found last week has an evening service. I just talked to the folks back home and am feeling vey homesick. Today is the anniversary of Mom's passing. That doesn't help matters any.
