Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

BTW, "I'm about to get killed a million miles from nowhere with a gung-ho iguana who tells me to relax" just fits as a tagline. In case you were wondering...

That IS just...wrong, though. You do realize that?
Heh...I wrote my brother to tell him about it, though, and couldn't resist including that quote.

Heh, of course.
We're gonna try to see a 3:00 show. If that fails, a later show. I'll be back by dinner time, anyway. If you want you can get a new movie for us...

Sounds good! Maybe I'll go hit Blockbuster in a bit.
Are you coming home for awhile, or heading straight from work to the theater?

So far it's not horribly hot. Not cool either, but that's to be expected. Latest I heard it's about 85 out there. I have the door to the balcony open and there's a nice breeze.
Mmmm...someone is grilling meat. My Viking pillaging instincts are roused.

Except, with the police camped out outside, maybe it isn't such a hot idea. Especially if I'm hoping for that job.
