Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

not much hoping that it'll be a nice enough new car to make the trip up to g'nad's?Well, actually, it might be. The one we're trying for is a 2000 Oldsmobile something-or-other, with ~66,000 miles on it. It drove nice on the test drive, and it's 5 years younger than our dead car... we'll just have to see how things go I guess.

Hey... how'd you get a copy of the brief? :-)
To: HairOfTheDog
Actually... its really odd. The grounds are not what somebody might usually expect, and kinda loony. I don't expect it to go to court.

I'm going to die.
I mowed the entire back yard. Even the "hill" parts that Steve usually does. But the thing is, he hasn't been. LOL
I swear, we really needed a brushhog back there.
And it didn't help that he sheared the grass really low yesterday prior to putting the pool down (just in that area where the pool is) and I can't change the mower adjustments...so now the whole back yard is really short and it was a son of a gun to mow it like that!!
I ache all over.

Easy lawnmowing solution.
1. Get two pairs of scissors
2. Get two Jedis
3. Hand the Jedis the scissors and tell them to go cut down the evil army of Sith grass.
Lawn mowed!

Heh heh!!!
We told Matthew yesterday that no one could come over to see the pool till the yard was straightened up. He started weeding the garden beds!
