I wish I could bring the pool, the kids would LOVE it! Matthew and Joshua have been playing in it most of the day... despite the fact that it is butt-numbing cold!
It's some serious amounts of water though...3K gallons. Scared me to death last night, looking at it from the light of the porch. Dang near gave me an anxiety attack! In-ground pools have never made me feel that way! I'm pretty sure it's just because it's just SO MUCH WATER in such a tenuous-looking container!
Kinda makes me short of breath ever time I think about it!
I think it all goes back to the time I was six years old, in a gas station bathroom (just a toilet and a sink, you know) and the toilet ran over when I flushed it. I swear, I COULD NOT get the door open fast enough. I was hysterical when I finally got that door open!
I swear I though I was gonna be trapped in there with that water gushing out of me!
You are probably laughing out loud right now, but I tell ya...I don't like to be around water that I don't have absolute control over!
Did that 2 or 3 times until the level was too low to be effective...then deflated the ring and did it one more time.
Fun to watch.
Isn't Talon comin'?
We're pretty definite but a firm "yes" might have to wait for the weekend before. If we are coming, one plan is to leave Thursday night, get a cheap hotel in Kansas, and then come on bright and early Friday.
Is there water in the gas? Air filter need cleaning? Spark plug needing replacing or cleaning?
Probably so, I'm sorry to say. We were planning to drive there with a rental car anyway, but our budget is so blown now that it's probably not doable.
Man.... drat....
No new car yet... waiting to hear if we got approval on a loan. Turns out that if it goes through, we'll be getting a better car than we planned; the cheap old car we went to look at doesn't qualify for a loan because it has too many miles on it, so we're trying to qualify for a rather nicer used car.
Meanwhile, our poor old dead car has been delivered back to us, courtesy of a tow truck. *snif* poor old thing...
good plan... will await your execute order... directions on best route from I-70 will be on the way before the week is out...
Master Bowman, your recommended route fer the ladies?...
Ain't heard from Talon in a while, would love to have him...
dimmit...
hate tuh hear that...
bwahahahahaaaaaaa
heh... the well water here comes outta theground at about 58 degrees... it'd be a test of endurance...
g'luck on theloan...
what kinduh ride yuh lookin' at?...
I think I'm gonna go pawn it.
How do I love NM. Let me count the ways:
The mountains,
The skies
The crisp dry air,
Getting stuffed silly on primo Mexican food for under $7!!!!
Are you still in New Mexico? Did you bring a camera? Can we see it?
Gonna go do laundry now. Then watch Bridget Jones II. :)
SO when you get home we can see them? Even the butt pics? ;~D
Soooitenly!
Keep us posted.... not much hoping that it'll be a nice enough new car to make the trip up to g'nad's?
