New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Jar-Jar gets fried by the Toaster of the Sith.
That'll work. What, stuck his tongue in it while it was plugged in?
"Mesa stoopid!" Hehehe
"Mesa fried!"
"Mesa smell something burning!"
Hey Maq.... Not sure if we'll see it in theater or wait till it's on DVD. Depends on if hubby is eager.
The local FOX channel here is showing Star Wars Episode One. Jar Jar looks like he's wearing maternity clothes.
Maybe he's Luke's real mother.
Ewwww!!
Heh, just try to get that image out of your head.
We caaaan'ts! It hurts us, Precious!
Just got in from a hike in the mountains with a couple of people from the project. Let me just say, the altitude (about 7200ft) kicked my butt. Big time. It is soooo embarassing considering how much (effortless) hiking I used to do at altitude back in my yout. Oh boy. Am going to locate the ibuprofen to try to head off the worst of the pain. Still though, it was a great adventure.
There I was stuffing a fleece, a raincoat, my water, and the map into my little day pack. "Gee Lil', why won't you let us carry that pack. It looks heavy." It's not heavy, of course, and I'm not going to surrender my pack. I might need the fleece or raincoat fercryingoutloud. The water sure came in handy, as did the map. Then when we get to the saddle of this trail the skies open up and it starts to rain. "Oh Crud! We're gonna get wet!" they said. So I tossed them the keys and they *ran* down (cross country runners wouldntchaknow) to the car.
Well, I put on my rain coat and stroll back down the trail happy as a clam. It's raining, it's lightening, it's hailing. It was a blast.
The best part was getting to be all smug for being prepared. Muahahaaa.
Was in Cloudcroft yesterday and bought a *BEAUTIFUL* rhodochrosite pendant/earrings set. Remind me to remind you to go there and get something purty for your wife.
The pendant is similar to this, but a little dustier rose in color:
What a lovely stone!
I was thrilled when I saw it (not the one in the pic, but the one I bought) and have hardly taken it off. And I'm *NOT* a jewlery person. I wear the rings Big'ol has given me, and small stud earrings, but that's about it. I love the rhodochrosite, tho.
Purty... very purty. If it were green I'd be jealous. As it is, enjoy your lovely!
Wow...that's lovely!
I just love stones that look kind of three dimensional when cut. I know next to nothing about names and types, but I do know I like 'em! I have a jasper (?) stone...not jewelry or anything, just polished. Wonderful thing to just hold and turn and let it catch the light. Mmmm...
I like this kind of jewlery because they're handmade. Buying them supports artists and craftsmen and small businesses. So it's win-win-win.
