The Hobbit Hole XXI - ...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Hopefully it doesn't matter. ;-)

I'm thinking I should maybe head over there. I could always sit in the car for fifteen minutes.

Have yet to see one I don't like!

But in case your queue has "people who see these also like" recs, let me just say that while Grave of the Fireflies is a beautiful story, it's also not the most uplifting movie to watch with your family.

Go! It beats worrying at home.

See you on the other side of our stuff. Should be home just after 4.

They are all so young. I may be rusty on the series, but isn't Johnny like Sue's son in the series? Or are they siblings. Reed and Sue just seemed more mature in appearance in the comics. I mean Jessica Alba is great and all, but couldn't they cast her as Doom's wife or something?

I am ~really~ hoping JarJar dies a horrible, brutal, slow, painful, gruesome death... that alone would make it worth seeing!

~snif~

That's just beautiful.

We always sit in the second pew from the front, if we get there on time. ;o) The Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist sit in the front pew, unless their families are at the same Mass, and they decide to sit with them.

Most folks don't like to sit in front because they don't want to walk all the way up from the back. We come in the side door, from the Parish Hall below, so it's just a few steps from the pew.

And I didn't even realize I'd gotten it, until I saw the two of you posting about it!

Our church is so small that "all the way up front" is about forty feet :-) We sit there because when we started coming they were the only pews with enough space free for us to sit more or less together.

Personally I'm waiting for Amidala or whatever she's called now to die. I just think she's horrible.

I don't know what to expect from Hitchhiker's Guide...

We're gonna look pretty silly though, standing in line for tickets...holding a towel...

But when the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Trall attacks, who'll be laughing then, hmm?

And the new Pope is the first visitor! :o)

I like that picture of Benny. He has that happy, grandfatherly look to him. Just like Dick Cheney. Another reason liberals already loathe him.

I think he was the "bad cop" in John Paul the Great's "good cop, bad cop" act. I'll polish his brass knuckles if he promises to use them on some American bishops.
