Rep Tom DeLay will be giving the keynote speech at the NRA convention in Houston. FoxNews will be covering it.
Indeed. And why are they talking to this Get Smart guy anyway? Didn't he hire the guy who lured his daughter away from home knowing he was somewhat of a flea-bag?
And Beckel wants to talk about a SCANDAL ???????
please spare us......Beckel is a total idget
Except where it counts ;-)
Me neither, and I am not about to start. Waste of damn time.
DeLay wasn't speaking on what the producer figured would be sensational (a resignation)......so it was back to regular programing.
We know that not even Fox will televise a pro-gun speech at a private banquet during prime time.
Fox hyped the speech on the come, and the come didn't come.
That's show biz.

Just for this I hope DeLay ends his speech with, "so in conclusion, I am announcing my resignation as House Majority Leader until all this rigamarole can be fully investigated."
HA! That'd learn FOX to eff with their viewers.
Heh, heh. No doubt.
I like what I've seen of J.D. Hayworth too.
On a funny note, there was a poll over on DU about a month ago where they were foaming and frothing over the possible scenario of him ever running for president...and I just laughed thinking the hate they spewed at Hayworth sounded like their hate for President Bush and VP Cheney. In other words, I thought, hmmm, sounds even better to me now! :^)
Well .. they have already heard from me in 24 pt type - bright red!! It was clean - but to the point.
Bingo, I think you've got it. "We'll go back to Delay if he makes news" means if he steps down or apologizes.
Wait, breaking: Geraldo: "He did not make news, and he used the occasion for sort of the...lighter side."
The only "news" they want to hear is DeLay saying he's stepping down - that's the only reason they're even monitoring the speech.
lol
Right, which is the reason why I am not e-mailing a complaint to FOX News. Jerry Rivers wanted DeLay to make a "stepping down" sort of speech, he didn't get one, and moved on.
use either comments@foxnews.com
or whorealdo's show: atlarge@foxnews.com
Yes, I have them all memorized.
This was the first time I had heard him speak live and enjoyed listening to Hayworth -- he tells it like it is. Heard a lot of that at our Oklahoma GOP Convention -- but then we had J.C. Watts, Hayworth, Senators George Allen, Jim Inhofe, and Dr. Tom Coburn -- no shrinking violets there! It was the best State Convention I have been to and this was in a non-election year.
oh, my mistake.....i thought Fox was a "NEWS" network..lol
Exactly! My last email to Fox was months ago when I thought emails to them mattered. They used to reply back -- not anymore.
exactly
Well, I just got done e-mailing both Fox News and C-span, and I blasted both of them---
Like you, I don't make a habit of e-mailing these stations because I doubt they care, but you never know till you try, and right now, I am so angry that I would rather take it out on them, than some poor poster on FR!!!! LOL
We also know the weekend crews are ULTRA LIBERAL - most of the time I cannot watch FOX on the weekends at all.
