LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Britney Spears said on Tuesday she was pregnant with her first child, ending months of speculation over whether the pop princess was launching a new career as a mother.
Spears, 23, who married dancer Kevin Federline last September, made the announcement in a posting to fans on her official Web site.
"The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together. There were reports that I was in the hospital this weekend. Kevin and I just want everyone to know that all is well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Love Britney and Kevin," the brief posting said.
Spears became a world-wide pop phenomenon in the late 1990s when she shot to fame with her 1999 debut "...Baby One More Time." She has since sold more than 60 million albums.
Somehow I see this as a positive thing - maybe she took a look around and decided to opt out of the machine and to form a family. Who knows - she might be a good mom and wife.
Well: Whoop de doo. Like: who cares?
I just think she's hotter than hell (to borrow a phrase from St. KISS) and I'd bang her stupid(er).
I'm partial to "libertine." Can't understand why it's not used more often.

I may not like her, but I would never punish an innocent child.
She is going to have to live with the things she did being exposed to this child already, and this kid is going to have to deal with the torment of seeing what his mother did.

Ashton Kutchner, Justin Timberlake, and Guy Ritchie. Granted, they don't sell their sexuality in the same way as the women do (personally, I don't think male and female sex sell in the same way; hence, the double standard), but they are definitely for sale. Also of note (but w/o the age difference) is Ben Affleck, who tried to increase his value by latching on to Jennifer Lopez.
