It was an incredible service. I didn't understand the Latin but neither did 80% of the rest of the world who were watching.

LOL! You gotta love Fox and Friends. As if Katie and X42 weren't bad enough, they get a couple of authors on to talk about the cattiness of Charles and Camilla tying the knot a day after John Paul's funeral. It was hillarious.

Good Morning Pb. Are you still on the road?

I know you & hubby follow the commodity markets quite closely. I haven't determined if it is only the meat side, or if it is all commodities.

My question is: Are you following the 'availability' of diesel fuel? I head from an insider yesterday that they are concerned about the potential of a shortage.

Have you heard anything about that? Or was the guy I was talking to just trying to impress me with his supposed knowledge of inside information.

The funniest part was when one of the authors suggested that it took a phone call and a stern command from the Queen that the wedding not go ahead today. I was ROFL!

I know a woman about 25 miles from here, who had that flesh eating disease. She recovered. It was a miracle.

Both the bird flu and the flesh eating disease make me think of the Plague.

I liked the part when they said that Chas & Camilia will have to profess their sins publicly! And they then said that Chas has admitted to committing adultery. Har! Even Bill Clinton hasn't had to stoop that low.

I read the formal text of the admission of guilt. It read very much like the Act of Contrition within the Catholic Church. The Act of Contrition is the prayer we use before going to Confession in the Catholic Church. The Church of England isn't that far removed from the Catholic Church.

I'm guessing none of the F&F crew is Catholic and failed to recognize the similarity.

Yes we are still on the road albeit heading back as slowly as we can. I'm not happy about that either. Not one bit.

No, we don't follow the energy markets much nor have any contacts in the industry. Haven't heard anything about a shortage but that's not saying anything.

Oh my....if omens are to be considered, this marriage....

What I heard last night from Robin Leach on Greta's is that Camilla at first defied, DEFIED, the Queen as to making the change....Or for the days of the 16th century!: Off with her head! LOL!

IG, the one extra comment in the news report, is that the illness doesn't necessarily result in death...an operation can usually take care of the affected areas. Oh that's comforting!! YIKES!

I don't know if they guy who told me about the potential shortage knows from Sick'em.

I thought you might be following it since the energy and commodity markets are inter related.

It might be a good sign that you haven't heard anything.

I think the coverage of the Pope was mostly positive, but one thing kept hitting me in the face.

The media spent an inordinate amount of time attributing the accomplishments to the POPE.... The furtherance of Christianity in the third world was due to the charisma of an extraordinary human. It was the Pope that was great not his religion. It was rare to hear them give anything that happened in the last 26 years a religious component. It was all the Pope's doing.. nothing was attributed to God. In nearly every broadcast and commentary it was the Pope who was the moral force. The GOD the Pope served was never mentioned.

Early on th MSM told us about the Vatican's propensity to lie about many things. Without any proof they told us the Vatican might be lying about the Pope's condition. They described the Vatican as if it were the Louisiana State legislature.

Some things they said defied experience. They said Pope John Paul II was chosen on the third ballot. Then they said the Cardinals were very divided between "Liberals" and "Conservatives." so they compromised on John Paul II.

History tells us that every convention where there are nearly two equal sides, needs many ballots to make a choice. Look at our own presidential nominating conventions back in the days before presidential primaries. Close contests took hundreds of ballots before a compromise candidate was selected.

Something tells me that had there been strong divisions 27 years ago, there would have been many ballots. In any group of a few dozen or more there are always some in the middle who just might be persuaded to change sides. Only after the possibility of changing a few minds is totally exhausted do the two sides agree on a compromise candidate.

The media really believes the huge crowds of young people drawn to the Popes world trips, were based on his charisma. Never once did I hear them say the reason so many young people came to see and hear the Pope was the Gospel he preached.

Did you ever notice the only times the media gets things wrong is when you know a lot about the story?

MSM worrying about being sued by the ACLU for offending the atheists.

You're right though, hardly any mention of God's hand in the changes that have occured during John Paul's papalcy. I did hear a FoxNews reporterette comment on when the Pope made his first visit to Poland right after assuming the papalcy, the Poles chanted "We want God, we want God" over and over and she went on to reference the religious oppression in the Soviet bloc at the time and subsequent changes. It was the most direct comment I've heard about the people's desire for God in their lives on any of the coverage.

FoxNews reporterette

She must have read Peggy Noonan's column. I can't imagine any FoxNews reporterette actually doing any research.. they spend all their time tryng to find shorter skirts.

For female reporters at FoxNews shorter skirts are good for what (rodger) Ailes you!!!
