The Minuteman Project has received a threat of direct violence by Mexican Nationals who threaten to "charge the Naco line" with the express purpose of doing violence to the Minuteman participants.

This is a direct qute from Jim Gilchrist in an interview with John and Ken om KFI 640 (Los Angeles)

I'll wait for more info to come out before I express my opinion(which would be quite nasty if the comment proves to be true)

I have heard that there have been incidents of Mexican federal troops firing across the border at Border Patrol officers. The atrocious state of affairs at our southern border has been ignored long enough. Maybe the Minutemen will inspire action on our side of the border.

I think that the violence that would be done would end up being against the ill-guided Mexican national who "charge the Naco line". The most common thing that the Minuteman Project is armed with, moreso than firearms, is video and still cameras. Those with firearms would hold off the invaders while those with cameras would document it.

The Mexican government may not realize it, but that would be the number one most stupid thing they could allow. If Mexican nationals crossed the border to attack the MMP, the federal government would have no choice but to take action.

That being the case, bring it on if you're stupid enough to Mexico.

Of course I say that with no lack of concern for the MMP, participants. I do not wish them any problems.

I imagine there are some armed people down there. I've seen some photos. If so, it would be wise to send at least one armed person with each patrol.

I'm not sure that the UN coming in and throwing parties, raping young girls and taking bribes from the coyotes would help...other than gaining approval from the EU.

Don't count on it.

Got to agree with you on that one.

Seems like the Feds don't have a clue.

I hear ya, but if if the R.P. wants one vote in 2008, it better damned well think long and hard before it sells out U.S. citzens who get attacked.
