48% here, too. Odd, for someone who has lived almost his whole life within 50 miles of NYC.

I'm a native Californian... but I guess you can say I'm a southerner, since I live in Southern California.

Aw hell, watch out ya'll! Supposedly, I am related to Sam Houston. Although, he was pro-Union (or at least anti-slavery), I believe.

78% Southern, but I had to cheat a little. There is no way on God's green earth I was gonna be a Yankee. Those are fightin words even coming from a computer program.

Odd since I was born in NYC, lived almost all my adult life in California and now live in Texas.
Although when in grammer school my parents lived for a short period of time in Texas (McAllen) and Florida (Miami)
So I probably have a lot of different ways to say things.

79% Southern. My dad is from Michigan, so maybe that's where the other 21% comes from. Do you know how Yankees are like hemorrhoids? When they come down and go back up, they're ok. When they come down and stay, they're a real pain in the a@%.

Yeeeehaaaawwww ... damn straight.
Ain't it great bein' Southern?
To: SwinneySwitch
Don't worry, I've taken this test before and it's completely bogus.
Example: How do you pronounce route?
The site claim that "rhymes with clout" is strongly biased Northeast, which is completely wrong. Anyone in the Boston area knows it's "root".
