Up-to-date information that every modern Christian must know!
Little green men? Flying saucers? No longer relegated to the lunatic fringe, the search for alien life has taken the world by storm. In this shocking book, UFO researcher Gary Bates exposes truths that will change readers forever. Written with the non-Christian in mind, this book leads the reader inexorably to one conclusion: there is an intergalactic battle over the history of life in the universe. Eye-opening insights ... for you and your non-Christian friends! Great pre-evangelism tool.
One of the most haunting and persistent mysteries of our time
Gary Bates was featured on Art Bells nationally syndicated radio program Coast to Coast, hosted by George Noory.
hello????
WOULD YOU CARE TO FIND THE BEGINNING OF SUCH ON THESE THREADS?
sUCH MEAN SPIRITED THINGS ALWAYS BEGIN WITH YOU FOLKS.
always.
And EVEN if we IGNORE you--they still continue tenaciously.
Well said.
Please point out in which posts I accuse you of lacking in imagination, lacking in logic, and having a tenuous grasp on reality.
i DO tend to lump all of you together--and your tactics and manner together.
As best as I can recall--I'm not about to search--other fish to fry--your first posts on this thread were assaultive of our perspective in rather pointed terms.
Reminiscent of feminists, who when challenged, will claim that the challenges are a form of assault.
FR is not a good forum on which to peddle one's victimhood. It's full of mean, insensitive people, who will ridicule one for conspiracy theories, a belief in aliens, or a wide variety of other 'diverse' viewpoints.
Let me just insensitively add that creationists are wackos, believers in UFOs are wackos, and it's good to see the two sets of wackos have a large intersection.
I poked around for a few minutes on the 'Genesis' website. The guy appears to be a Christian, but then, it isn't unusual to find out that isn't the case once you start really digging into what the website is all about. I don't have the time (nor the inclination) to do that at the moment.
In summary, if he promotes what the 'trailer' in the posting indicates, then he is a nutjob. If he says that the people who promote such stuff are nutjobs, then he and I are in agreement.
FReeper creationists have linked to the AIG website hundreds of times in the last few years, to back up the usual anti-evolution arguments. Can we now discount all those posts, and all those posters?
Why? Are you finding it difficult to argue against them the normal way? You know, like, using logic and stuff?
It isn't logical 'and stuff' to point out that the sources someone is using are seriously unhinged from reality?
But if it's presenting information with references to other sources, and drawing conclusions based on that information, the only way to counter it would be to present other facts and/or correct the logic it uses. Simply casting general aspersions about the site would not be persuasive.
I'm thinking the DUmb will love this thread when they find it.
i consider it an accolade to be
unhinged from some people's overly constricted, narrow, rigid, inadequate, thoughtless, mean-spirited . . . realities.
As George Kelly demonstrated with his Role Construct Theory and grid . . .
when one's construct system is overly narrow, rigid and impermeable
OR
when one's construct system is overly broad, flexible and permeable
one will not tend to make reliable, functional, predictive assessments, hypotheses regarding reality and the reasonably near future.
Thankfully, mine has been pretty functional for these near 60 years.
I'd say your definition of "whacko" needs a lot more work than you seem to think it does. But that's not surprising.
BTW, you could go to the WEBGRID III program at the univ of Calgary on the net and throw in your relationships and 15-25 constructs and sort them and find out a lot about your constructs as well as your relationships. I'd bet you'd discover some surprises.
I'd bet that those you most hate and are most annoyed by are very close in similarity to yourself and/or one or both of your parents.
But, hey, consistency . . . and all that.
Ahhhhhhh,
But it seems that you are assuming that his hostility to our perspectives and choice of discussion topics is logical vs emotional to begin with.
I consider that a very flawed hypothesis--based on the evidence.
Not quite. Do you remember in your history books that many people used to believe the earth was flat, too?
'Nuff said?
Whatever. I shall add your name to our alien 'to be brainwashed' list. Pretty soon, you'll be agreeing with us. BWAHAHAHAHA!
We control their thoughts too.
Foolish humans!
Paranoid schizos are often amazingly logical. Sometimes, you just gotta step back and say 'that's crazy talk, man!'
