I Will Never Forgive Them For Terri. Never. (The hell with forgiveness and finding common ground.)
Self | 3.31.05 | JohnRobertson

A very good Freeper has another thread going on right now, called "Let's End the Rancor." I started to respond, and realized...my RANCOR ain't going away any time soon. So....

NO! I will never forgive them.

I will never forgive the death cabal that forsook common decency and Judeo-Christian principles, and made a Never-give-in stand just to give those who embrace life grief, tension and tortured, sleepless nights.

Same here. M Schiavo, Greer and Felos will have their own living hell and torment here on earth. All three know they are low life scum and have sinned in a great way.

Banality of evil. stupid stupid stupid

I did not read the word "hate" in this post. It's only in the replies.

I don't intend to reconcile myself to an evil simply for amity.

A person can not forgive someones actions and not let it eat away at them. There have been two people in my life that I will never forgive for what they did to me and my Mother. I've dealt with it and it doesn't eat away a me.

It's up to the individual to forgive, or not. The important thing is to never forget.

Jesse Jackson (along with all the members of the Congressional Black Caucus who voted with the GOP on the bill last week) may just be smart enough to realize that we are much closer to the proverbial "boxcars carrying people out of sight" than we ever imagined, and they know exactly who is going to be in those boxcars.

How about using your anger for a good cause? Instead of stewing in you fury, why not funnel your emotion into action? Use that energy to fight for what you believe in.

We'll never forget what they did. Someday we will manage to be able to forgive them, though it will take time.

So much for our undisrupted mourning.

I know how you feel John and it is natural to be so angry and in such despair.

But as someone who has had to live with the knowledge that someone may have killed my child, and there is nothing on earth that will ever be done about it- I can tell you this.

In time, you just have to hand that big bucket of hurt over to your Lord. He WILL sort things out. In the twinkling of an eye. That's part of His job description. He does not want to see you destroy yourself or anyone else over this. Just to take what you can from it, so as to grow your own soul in wisdom and goodness, not to atrophy it with hate, which is weak.

And in time, find a way to use your life to make things, even little things, better. For others. For the mentally handicapped, perhaps, who are now revealed to be so patronizing despised by our secular intelligentsia. And yet so morally superior to those same intelligentsia in their pureness of spirit.

Live well and live more profoundly aware of life's gifts, in honor of the grace, the powerful will to live, and the enduring LOVE that Terri was able to share and receive until almost the last minute of her life, in triumph over her cruel adversaries and her own ruined body.

God Bless.

Put that anger into where it will do real work...first, in lobbying for better law. That law that this was done under has been on the books in Florida for what - 6 years? I read somewhere the only state that doesn't allow dehydration is Illinois. Plenty of room to work here.

You can make a difference. Get involved with the local judicial elections. Learn about your judges rulings if possible.

Educate - share the good stuff - the reasons why this is a bad thing. Help other people draw better conclusions. Become a handicapped activist. Help people get the word out about living wills.

Anger that just makes you hate will eat you up. Anger that gets you focused and moving is a good thing.

I will never forgive this anti-American, anti-Christian minority who won this round...

This was not a Christian issue. Many Jews were on the side of Schindlers, on the side of life, myself included.

This is a dark day, but perhaps, as in the case of Johnny Cochran, karma will catch up to the lunkhead (Michael Schiavo) and the ghoul (freaky Felos.)

'Some of it ain't small'

John..I couldnl't agree with you more. And thank you for putting into words..what I know I am/have been feeling.

For me..yes, I believe we are supposed to forgive. But I also believe we are supposed to MEAN it. I cannot do that now.

I am totally shocked at how consumed I have been with this all. I am glad she is not suffering now. But I can only see this as murder. And until I can get some satisfaction or see some justice..hey, I'm gonna be a little "blocked" at the forgiveness phase.

The final, absolute slap in the face was making that poor family leave her death bed. I absolutely want people to be held in account for this.

Cyborg is right, harboring these feelings will only harm YOU.

I am crying as I type this. My heart just breaks for Terri's dear family.

I think of my own married daughters and wonder if this could happen to them.

Terri is released from this world. She is whole again before the throne of God. To know happiness we can only dream of.

For your own sake, please release your hatred, anger and ill will.

No one on FR is worth the damage this does to YOU.

Forgive them, Father; they know not what they do.

I'll second that.......as it's probably the best explanation...for the seemingly unexplainable.

FRegards,

Do what you have to do to get through this day. Say what you have to say to do the same. But a day will come when you will have the chance to say "I'll never forget" instead of "I'll never forgive". I hope you'll take it for your sake. And in the meantime think of ways to channel your anger into positive things like actively working to get rid of these renegade judges and making out a living will for yourself and encouraging your loved ones to do the same.

I agree with you. Blanket forgiveness is not a good idea IMO. Usually someone has to ask for it and then it's up to the person that has been harmed to give it or not. The only one that can truly forgive in this case has now died. It would be like me forgiving Hitler for having people killed. Also, I think it's good to be p*ssed off when an evil or injustice has been done. I don't think GOD wants us to be happy about it. I'm with you--I'm mad too. I think Michael Stinko is scum and I'll think that what he did along with Judge Grim and Felow was evil until the day I pass on.
