I Will Never Forgive Them For Terri. Never. (The hell with forgiveness and finding common ground.)

A very good Freeper has another thread going on right now, called "Let's End the Rancor." I started to respond, and realized...my RANCOR ain't going away any time soon. So....

NO! I will never forgive them.

I will never forgive the death cabal that forsook common decency and Judeo-Christian principles, and made a Never-give-in stand just to give those who embrace life grief, tension and tortured, sleepless nights.

I have lightened up.

But my resolve not to forgive has only gotten deeper, over this day. What sealed it was the long interview by lawyer Felos. Here was this innocuous looking man...and the Devil was speaking through him.

Please read post 86. on this thread. Someone else put it up, not me. Thank you.

She died 15 years ago. Get over it.

Dig a grave for yourself. Continual unforgiveness isn't healthy.

Holding your anger inside ain't healthy either. Alot of us are angry and must let our anger and frustration at this travesty, out.

John, you don't need to pray for Terri, she probably would do good where she is to pray for us. She most assuredly is with God and has His ear now.

Your passion is great, I agree Cochran set back race relations decades in a "murder trial where race meant nothing".

I think we need to stick on the backs of the legislatures of the states, also the Congress and Senate until we weed out the Justices who want to play King.

We need to never forget and become the bulldogs we need to be.

Thank you. Now we have to use our anger for good and start by trying to change laws that allow judges to act so arbitrarily. Terri never got a fair "trial" even though her only crime was being handicapped.

"She died 15 years ago. Get over it."

You have no knowledge of her medical situation--certainly, not 15 years ago. "Get over it" is hardly an appropriate response. Something that bitter could only come from from an expat who's decided to take up fulltime residence in one of the great pederast capitals of the world.

What you said was heartless, and completely uninformed. If the standards for making judgements is just shooting from the hip, and taking a scintilla of fact and spinning it into a "truth," then I guess you must be a child molester. Do you have to register over there?

The formerly MSM aka Old Media, is our enemy. No doubt about it. They are dominated just like the judges and most politicians-- the propaganda of leftist professors. It's through the colleges and universities that the leftists have infiltrated. We must punish the Old Media by continuing to inform people where they failed us. Terri is an excellent example.

Replacing one college-programmed judge with another isn't going to achieve enough. Just look at the failures of GOP appointees. No value of human life in many cases-- no curiosity, etc. The only solution is the most difficult one-- impeachment.

Thank you, good thoughts.

I keep coming back to a theme the MSM is trying to sell us (and that, alas, I think many Americans are buying): They say "the lesson" we can take from Terri's death is, we should all have our living wills executed and in place. In other words, they want us to run to lawyers by the millions.

"In other words, they want us to run to lawyers by the millions."

I considered that, myself. And it is important to keep the bug in everyone's ear: even a signed and dated scrap of paper should be enough, though perhaps not ideal.

And people are already promoting living will forms online. I think that's the least of our problems, myself. We, as FReepers, need to be brave. We need to focus on the larger picture as much as possible. That's why so many of us were late about getting involved.

Terri is a 'tipping point issue', as Rush called it.

Here's the next hot one to watch. The Minuteman showdown. The Mexican military is going on alert. It's starting now. Man I wanted to chill out for one day at least.

Forgiving someone doesn't mean that you have betrayed your own convictions, beliefs and morals. God Bless you and yours JR...It is a heartbreaking event that I will never forget either.

Does forgiveness mean we lose our righteous anger?

"Does forgiveness mean we lose our righteous anger?"

Absolutely not. Please read "When Forgiveness Is A Sin," which someone put up on post 86, this thread. By Dennis Praeger. Short but makes the point brilliantly. Thanks.

I didn't read its entirety word for word, but I got the gist of it. I'm still working on forgiveness wrt a few events/people in my life. This is one that will not happen quickly if ever. I believe that God knows our hearts better than we do...and if we "can't forgive" someone for an atrocious act, I believe God understands. We are human. But...if we want to forgive, it's a process...and I question, (righteously) whether someone can forgive so "quickly".
