Is anyone else watching this? Cartman as Michael Schiavo? Kenny as Terri?
I want an old Philco Predicta.
Where have you been? I don't think that'll do her much good anymore.
It was only like that for the first episode, and it took forever. After that it's been all computer. They actually had to tweak the video rendering system to cut the quality so that it would still look like jerky stop-motion cardboard animation. Did pretty well, huh?
They're using the same exact computers that were used in the making of the Jurassic Park computer animation. Interesting tidbit for ya..... =P
LOL! Little boy, you don't have a legal standing in this case. Well you see sir, I do. I was Kenny's BFF since first grade.
Probably the best line was when the lawyer came to the hospital room with the missing page. To paraphrase a little "If I'm ever in a vegetative state, please don't show me on national television". Ooops.
Yes, I wouldn't want to be shown in a brain damaged state. But I took that as part of a bigger insight explaining negative emotions we have about the whole deal - disgust that the whole thing had to be dragged out in the open. I'm convinced that is why polling for the President went negative (besides the ridiculous level of suggestiveness of the poll questions). In other words, people are miffed that they are confronted with this tough issue, and they won't cut President any slack just because he didn't create it.
I thought South Park did a good job here, though as usual they miss implications of "culture of life". The last episode I watched closely was about Mel Gibson The Passion on which I thought they really missed the boat.
if you had checked the date of my post, you'd see Terri was still alive then - and even tho' it was, undoubtedly, too late to reinsert the tube and save her - had the film been aired, it would have woken a lot of people up to the lies
I think "The Passion of the Jew" nailed it perfectly. The Cult of Gibson and his adoration as an idol truly was out of control in many circles at that time.
Lame! Now South Park has been hijacked by Shiavo?
Jesus loves a good fight....he even battled Santa Clause in their first ever animation.
I agree. Over the years, my skin has toughened to where someone may make fun at my expense and I'll still laugh.
I've discovered that not taking yourself too seriously is liberating.
and SOME people have a stick up their butt....Without even any alien involvement.

Dude.... saying hella is hella stupid ;~D
On another thread I was castigated by bluenoses for humor in "poor taste" and although I haven't seen this South Park episode, I am always amused by people who think there are some subjects that cannot be treated with humorThe only morbid topic of the last twenty years that AFAIK never generated any jokes was 9/11. Everything else seems to have been "on-limits", so to speak. Morbid jokes have replaced "dirty" jokes in our culture.
Certainly the over the top histrionics associated with the Schiavo case, from "they're going to kill all the disabled people" to "starvation is wonderful" have made it a natural South Park target.
Indeed, the last page of Kenny's will, when found, was spot-on.

Tell her you watch South Park. Some of the coolest women I know are South Park fans.

Oops, wrong Schiavo thread.... !
The Mormon episode is one of the best. Just absolutely skewers their "history" and mocks it wonderfully.
