The List of Ping Lists |
What Pittsburgh has when it comes to teams, especially Steeler fans, is fantastic people. I lived in New York most of my life, and when I came here, I was amazed at how football brought people together. This town is the most amazing football city, and I don't think you can appreciate it unless you've lived somewhere else. The black and gold binds people together, crossing ethnic, income, and social standing barriers. I'm sorry when football season ends, but thank God it comes around every year! :-)
The Penguins led a mini-trend in the NHL. A lot of teams adopted black as one of their primary colors after Pittburgh did. It seemed like the merchandisers were all looking at the same data: that 'Black' sold well.
Who is the only person to play for all 3 pro sports teams in 'da 'Burgh?
And every Dallas-area sports team has a star somewhere in their logo.

GO STEELERS!!!
They make it easy for their fans to wear their team colors, that's what. The Pirates, Steelers and Penguins all sport the same combination - gold, black and white. No other city in the United States has this degree of unity in team colors.Actually, the Saints and 49ers wear "gold". The Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins (when they play at all) wear yellow.
