Following it's earlier claim that Clive Owen has been confirmed as the 6th James Bond 007, IESB.com has released the evidence behind the headline.
After a few questions about his current movie 'Sin City' he was asked about the rumours regarding James Bond.
'Yes or no to Bond?' He said 'I will be busy for awhile' while nodding his head yes, and repeated it with a grin and a smile.
The report continued as saying that the reporter was then contacted by colleague that works with Clive and stated that Bond was a done deal and that an official announcement in the trades was being brokered.
One other inside source is telling the site to expect an official announcement next week after the release of 'Sin City.'

He was great in BMW Films "The Hire."
Oh my!
Doable,
Yep, definately doable.
(The Bond part, get yer mind outta the gutter);)
The problem with Moore, Dalton and Brosnan is that they always seemed to patrician for the actual job. On the other hand, I think that Brosnan in "The Tailor of Panama" is a great look at what James Bond would actually be in the real world--a scummy little extortionist and con man who thinks he's smarter and more charming than he really is.
I certainly won't boycott the moivie if she's in it.
Sam Neill would have been good too, but he was involved in JP series still.
In the words of Hawkeye Pierce, "The mind goes where the body is." :^)
Incidentally, my favorite Bond was George Lazenby. He was the most physical Bond; when he threw a punch, it looked real
The other finalists are supposedly Victoria Silverstedt, Holly Valance and some UK singer named 'Jamelia'
Nah, Val Kilmer is too pretty for Bond. No one reads the books anymore, but Connery was the only one who really fit Flemming's description of Bond.
I agree with your comments. I enjoy the movies where the spys are more human, as well as the Bond flicks. It's amazing that the characteristics of the actor are more important that the acting skill itself. Connery had it, whatever it is. I saw Croupier and I thik Clive will do justice to the next three or four flicks. Have we passed Tarzan and the others yet for longest series?
I thought Lazenby was too stiff, physical yes, but not enough of the Bond mischief. Of course I'd be stiff to if I was in the movie with Diana Rigg LOL!
I'm your Huckleberry
I quit going to Bond movies after Roger Moore. The new Bonds keep getting wimpier and wimpier. I'm waiting for the "bond guy" to replace the bond girl ...
Remember, there's room for more than 1 Bond girl per flick.
Brosnan was physically weak.
