Following it's earlier claim that Clive Owen has been confirmed as the 6th James Bond 007, IESB.com has released the evidence behind the headline.
After a few questions about his current movie 'Sin City' he was asked about the rumours regarding James Bond.
'Yes or no to Bond?' He said 'I will be busy for awhile' while nodding his head yes, and repeated it with a grin and a smile.
The report continued as saying that the reporter was then contacted by colleague that works with Clive and stated that Bond was a done deal and that an official announcement in the trades was being brokered.
One other inside source is telling the site to expect an official announcement next week after the release of 'Sin City.'

I saw him in "Croupier" and he was excellent. He will add depth to the type of Bond that Timothy Dalton wished he could have pulled off.

I could draw stick figures that look more realistic than Brosnan surfing across the ice floes. Well, maybe not....but that was pretty lame.

Too bad. I was hoping Sean Connery can be cloned and become Bond again.

I think she is at least semi confirmed for now...

Brosnan had been my favorite until he opened his mouth and kept making liberal political statements. Now I'm no longer sorry to see him go!!
To: Lazamataz
That was Clive Anderson, laz. :^)

Your comment about depth is right on. Timothy seemed unidemensional. Stone killer, but very little smile.

My friend and I have admired this guy's acting ability since the PC game "Privateer 2: The Darkening" came out in about 1995 or so. He was the star of the game, and he's incredibly talented. Check out "Croupier" for an example of a great film that didn't get much attention. He was also great in the BMW films.

They really screwed up by passing on Rowan Atkinson

MORE importantly, who's the next Bond Girl gonna be? :^) I vote for Clive's co-star in "Croupier". Alex Kingston. Grrrrowll.

I always thought, in his younger days, Michael Caine would've been a good Bond.

Oh, the Clive Owen from King Arthur! Now I get it, yeah, he was great in that movie! Good choice!Jason Statham (The Transporter) would be a good choice too, but maybe not enough hair.
Now, back to Bond girls....
