Nonsense!

Thje law was on Michael Schiavo's side, even if the moral right wasn't.

The only people who could have saved her was the Florida House/Senate.

Not Jeb Bush
Not President Bush
Not a judge

Only a new law could save her and the Gov/President don't make the laws. Jeb Bush put up a new law for a vote and it didn't pass so don't lay it at his feet !

For someone that has supposedly been here since 1998 you should know this isn't the place for your vanity.

Good post. I'm outta the Republican Party. George Greer is a Republican. Jeb Bush is a Republican. 'Nough said.

I don't suppose you though that perhaps this could have been posted within one of the hundreds of other Schiavo threads?

Just askin'... ;0)

I love attacks like this - it demonstrates the best values of the liberals. Why not blame the county sheriff, or the county DA, both for not filing attempted murder charges? Why not the federal courts, the 11th, the Supremes? The Florida legislature gets a free ride from you, yet you're blaming a pair of brothers.

The party exit is over there.

What makes you think anyone outside her parents cares about what is happening to her?

You're not making many friends with your comments, churchillbuff. I'm sure your detractors will just love mine.

What is happening in Florida only adds to the shame each and every person who names the Name of Christ must bear for being asleep at the wheel; for not praying enough; for not being good watchmen at the gates, and for not giving a damn as a cabal of God-hating, lying lunatics crawled out of the gutter of the '60's, after they came down from their last acid-trip, and stole our government and society out of our hands.

I'm sick of the attitudes and motivations of this rotten and perverse secular society and it's unlikely bedfellow, compromised professing Christianity, as are many others. Sadly, I am convinced that, unless God Himself makes intervention directly, Terri will die. The Sanhedrin among us, both religious and secular, and that includes the political wonks, toadies, and fanatic party and personality-loyalists, have always acted hypocritically (which is why Jesus was so hard on them), and all this nonsense about ignoring new evidence because it wasn't "filed properly or timely" reminds me of the people referred to in Romans 1:18-32, especially where Paul writes in verse 22: "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools".

Although in my flesh I desire above all else to release all the pent-up wrath these past couple of weeks have produced in me, upon those who have perpetrated this atrocity in an "eye-for-an-eye" manner; the reality is that, I, and those of us who recognize and submit to God's sovereign authority, can only rightly come boldly before the Throne of Grace, because man's wrath does not work righteousness, bearing our petitions that Terri's life might be spared. Spared, if for no other reason than, that she might have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and make a decision about Jesus. In addition, I believe that if her murder is allowed to proceed, unchecked, it is because she has already made that decision, either before her injuries or recently, in her spirit, when she realized that she was going to be forced from her tent by her unfaithful husband and that tyrannical oligarchy of black-robed barbarians who have usurped authority not delegated to them by God, We the People, or the Constitution.

Let's not neglect proper perspective, however. God tolerates through His patience and love, the existence of that Islamic abomination sitting on the temple mount in Jerusalem. He tolerated the Holocaust, ethnic cleansing in Europe and Africa, worldwide abortion-on-demand, homosexuality, and so on and so forth. There is no end to the list of sinful human behavior tolerated by God in this age of Grace.

God is long-suffering because He desires that everyone would repent. The age of Grace will soon come to a close, however, and then there will be no more second-chances.

So please, all who read this, instead of trying to start a flame-war with me (a colossal waste of time on your part), continue praying for Terri, and ask God to help you to forgive those who have dedicated themselves to the accomplishment of her unjust death. Eventually, I will learn, because He will teach me, to forgive all those murdering scum who, unless they repent, will stand before his Throne on That Day and attempt to justify themselves by their works. They will recall the day they set their hearts to murder Terri and will confess to God that their punishment is deserved and just. Then they will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, along with Satan, the Beast and the False Prophet, to be tormented for all eternity.

In the meantime, His Grace is sufficient.

Does anyone know what the two appeals are that Gov. Bush is putting through as per Fox News a few hours ago?
