Please don't give up. Continue to call.
Phone the following numbers and ask your family to also:
Governor Jeb Bush: 850-480-7146
President George Bush: 202-456-1414
Congressman Tom Delay: 202-225-5951
Senator Bill Frist: 202-224-3344
Senator Rick Santorum: 202-224-6324
And please continue to pray!!! Terri SCHINDLER has NOT given up and neither should we!!!!!
I would be focusing on the State Senators. They have the power to save Terri. I seen a list of them at one time on FR. Target those Senators, ruin their careers.
I posted that list and will post it again!!!
Actually, now that I think of it, at this point, the
State Senators can do nothing.
Why can't the State Senators do anything? I heard they went into recess, but can't they just reconvene? I would be protesting outside their homes, on public land, of course.
I am disturbed by all the SIDE issues that dominate the real facts. The only question is should Terri be killed or not.
Her husband and his supporters want her to die. The Schindlers and supporters want her to live. Hard facts.. Her husband claims that living in a bland unsupportive clinical atmosphere for years was legal for good care. Her parents want her home for 24/7 love and personal care.
Whether the husband is a responsible guardian of what's better for Terri has been determined by the courts. (In my mind unjustly). It blows my mind how a low level judge's ruling defies the powerful State and National governments designed to protect the handicaped and the powerless. Is there a more powerful force at work here than this simple person can visualize?? I sure would like to know..

This is about the RIGHT to life, is a constitutional issue and thus is a FEDERAL issue, you are wrong. BTW, almost all conservative leaders disagree with you.
Jeb Bush's correct number: 850-488-7146
You have taken on the LIBERAL argument.
It seems to me that Terri is being killed on pretty paltry evidence.
1. Did anyone warn Terri, at the time that she allegedly said, "No tubes," that her words would be used to actually starve her? Shouldn't someone have given her a "Miranda style warning?"
2. How do we know Terri wasn't depressed at the time? Depressed people may say they don't want to be a burden on others...but we don't insist they be killed to remove the burden. State of mind can make a difference in the responsibility someone has about what they say.
3. There may be evidence that she said, "no tubes," but there is no clear and convincing evidence that was what she would want for her final decision, BECAUSE she did not understand that this was her final word
Intent. Intent. Intent
4. If she even made that comment, perhaps she was just saying it to bring comfort to a listener in earshout, who she knew had recently "unplugged" someone. People say things they don't believe in order to make someone feel good.
Intent. Intent. Intent
If I want to get away from a persistent salesperson, and I say, "I'll come back and buy that refrigerator, so give me your business card," I don't have to buy the refrigerator.
Even if I go back I don't have to buy that refrigerator. I haven't put anything in writing. Even if I put something in writing, I might have 48 hours in which to indulge my "buyer's remorse."
5.It's doubtful that Terri realized what she was doing at the time would be legally binding It's doubtful that she realized she was making a declaration of intent that she wanted to be starved.
6. Did Terri ever say she wanted Michael to be her health care agent? The judge ruled that her comment to Michael did not count. So that means Michael's right to kill her is based on comments made by others.
I've just made three calls and sent an email. Thanks for the info.
Does anyone know why the SCOTUS refused to hear this case? Isn't an executive order allowed for the president or a governor?
Your welcome.
