This is one of those times.

I agree, the Pontius Pilate comparison sadly fits.

Did you see on the news report how defensive Jeb Bush is now? He is talking "poor me, poor me, poor me," not "poor Terri, Terri, Terri." He wants people to know that his hands were tied.

If Jeb were in trouble for defying the court, his brother could have pardoned him. It would have been the most moral "crime" ever.

People should remember Bush signed Terri's Law I.

People should also remember he is still Gov of FL and if you want to keep this from EVER happening again you will need a governor who will sign Terri's Law II and III.

Does anyone think Lawton Child's son is going to do that? Bill Nelson? ANY FL Democrat?

Defeat suck, but we are still in the good fight.

Here's a lighthearted study:

These things are being tallied by numbers now, it seems.

I am looking for the Miami, FL information. Anyone have it?

well ... his last name is Bush (i.e. backing down under pressure runs in the family).

Bush41: Read My Lips

John Ellis Bush: Schiavo press conference basically asking for the judge to instruct him to do nothing.

and GW biggest pressure issue ... SOCIAL SECURITY REFORM ...
we'll see whether he caves in and drops it ... or goes along with more tax increases (via new taxes, raising the FICA, or raising the caps) to keep the pyramid scheme on it's feeding tube.

Hopefully, I'm wrong (considering I was involved in helping him get re-elected).

This is the kind of vile garbage and character assassination associated with Rat hate sites like the DU.

It’s a sad commentary on our times that this vomit now appears on the Free Republic web site.

Yeah, it's all Bush's fault. Golly, I guess all the RATs were right after all. (Angry sarcasm)

I wonder if Florida does one of those deals where you can be gov for the day. Maybe Jeb can appoint me and then take a few days off. I'd be glad to handle it.

It might be satire, but the comparison is apt.

A satire must contain truth to be funny or pointed otherwise it is just stupid.

This one is just stupid.

Meh any blame dished out at Jeb is blame that should be directed at Michael and George Felos. I never wish harm upon anyone, but I hope they're both hounded by this scandal for the rest of their days.

You know what gets me over this though, the fact that the GOP just leaped into this thing and then they weren't willing to go the whole nine yards. Now it blows up in their face.

Notice that all the posters deriding this satire can only call it names and dismiss it out of hand. They don't bother to refute the material elements of the comparison though.
