The May 19 opening of [Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith] is a milestone for geeks everywhere. But the 1977 opening of the original "Star Wars" remains a milestone for everyone, geek and nongeek alike.
It was that opening that many film historians cite as the day that movie-going changed forever. Many point to that date as the official start of the summer blockbuster.
