Jeb's last Chance
jpsb

Posted on 03/27/2005 3:23:49 PM PST by jpsb

Terry by fighting for her life, has given Jeb one last change. Congress has ordered Terry to appear before them tomorrow. Jeb can enforce that order by siezing Terry and bringing her to D.C. Clearly that his right.

Obviously he is. And more powerful than the Governor of Florida and the President of the United States. All hail King George Greer!

Judgenfuhrer Greer: "We are using morphine drip now and will burn her,
alive if necessary, before the subpoena. Congressal subpoenas aren't worth a bucket of warm spit."

If are so shallow that you don't love this Country because of the actions of a few people, then MOVE! Will be glad to contribute to a one-way ticket!

I am not proud of the people I worked to elect. I am not proud that our founding fathers who sacrificed so much are probably spinning in their graves.

I've seen a lot that I don't approve of and I have tolerated as the price of plurality and I support a free and open marketplace of ideas.

what has happened to Terri has me wondering about the very soul of this nation.

I love what we could and should be. I am repulsed and my blood runs cold at the revelation of what we are.

Jeb has no chance.

His conceptual framework includes the notion that court orders are final.

That's a happy place for an electoral politician to be, it usually means they can denounce the courts, make the people think they are on their side, and do nothing in the end.

You know, I don't blame him all that much.

I don't blame Pius XII either, all that much-he had many things to take care of amid the chaos of Nazi Europe.

But I believe Pius XII passed on sainthood, and I think Jeb just passed on higher office.

So it goes.

see post 27 and take your meds. I suppose the impotence you have just witnessed makes you more proud of your nation?

I no longer love my country.

Oh, for heaven's sake. Snap out of it! We've got pathetic laws on the books.

If you want to be a hero, stop trashing this country and the leaders who stepped up to the plate and channel your energies into something constructive.--Work to change the law!!!

Anti-Jeb/Pres Bush crowd is lose again! No way to rationalize with these folks -- they are right 100% of the time and we are always wrong!

Florida state officials have made an attempt to rescure her, but were turned back by the judge's private fuzz.

Apparently, and much to my surprise, the answer is yes, any judge in the land is more powerful than Congress.

The lack of rational thought is truly frightening. I've not seen the likes of this madness on FR before.

Jeb won't do squat.

And this is why:

His office already said they have exhausted all legal avenues.

Do you folks not see the folly and hypocrisy of demanding that Jeb kidnap Terri Schiavo or otherwise take her into custody without any legal authority, when we all agree that what Janet Reno did to Elian Gonzales was so wrong? If you want anarchy and vigilanteism, just come right out and say so. Stop blaming the president or his brother for things that are beyond their jurisdication. This is not a dictatorship, but it sure sounds like some of you who claim to care about Terri want exactly that.

They are setting a very bad precedent with regards to the position of the executive in relation to the judiciary... VERY bad. Congress ain't doing any better, either, sad to say. And the rest of us are now hostage to an unelected set of oligarchs who rule for life.

This is exactly my point. The politicians are watching the polls. Don't forget, the way the polls were worded a majority of the people did not want Congress involved. As a Republican Conservitave, I feel this moral issue will divide the party more that any democrat party can. IMHO
